Big Spring Cowboy Reunion and Rodeo celebrates 90th year

BIG SPRING, Texas (KOSA) - Giddy up because the 90th Big Spring Cowboy Reunion and Rodeo has begun, and they aren’t horsing around this year!

Bull-lieve it or not, the Big Spring Cowboy Reunion and Rodeo is the second longest consecutive rodeo in the state of Texas.

Events include:

- Steer wrestling

- Mutton busting

- Tie down roping

- A specialty act

- Ladies breakaway

- Saddle bronc riding

- Team roping

- Barrel racing

- Bull riding

Recognizing that this milestone year, they have roped in some of the sport’s top performers. World champion team ropers Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira will be in attendance, and Cody Teel, a world champion professional bull rider, will end the events.

On the music end of performers, they booked Kevin Fowler for tonight, and Aaron Watson will take the stage tomorrow night. In addition to activities other than the rodeo, Big Spring hosts one of the largest organized parades in all of West Texas, which will take place tomorrow night.

You won’t want to miss the Big Spring Cowboy Reunion and Rodeo and this 90th milestone year.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for kids ages 6 through 12, and free for kids under 5.
