ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Mexican culture has been divided into several categories over the years. From tejano and norteño music to hip hop music and car shows. The West Texas Super Show seeks to combine all of these elements to attract people from different walks of life to the Ector County Coliseum on June 22.

One of this year’s big guests is Junior Castro, who is showcasing his signature lowrider that has already won several awards at shows across the country including Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

All to make it to the national competition in Las Vegas, Nevada in October.

However, this is Castro’s first time showing his car in West Texas, to prove that West Texans have a lot to offer to the car show community.

Castro said, “What a better place than to show it here in my home town, and hopefully we can bring this big title home from Vegas. You know it’s going to be the first time ever that they made this category for Luxury of the year. I’m striving to go for that and bring it for the first time ever. You know put a patent on it.”
