BIG SPRING, Texas (KOSA) - Big Spring Police have made an arrest in the hit-and-run investigation from June 8, that killed one person.

35-year-old Brandon Hildebrand has been arrested and charged with Accident Involving Death, which is a Felony 2 offense. Investigators say Hildebrand did not stop and render aid, as he was obligated to.

On June 11, Big Spring Police were told that a vehicle matching the description of the hit and run vehicle from June 8 was seen in the driveway of a home on the 1100 block of Austin.

On June 12, detectives found surveillance video that showed the vehicle left that house five minutes before the hit and run on June 8. According to the Big Spring Police Department, detectives found probable cause at the 1100 block of Austin that the vehicle was the one from the hit and run. A search warrant was given, and police removed the vehicle from the property to search it for evidence.

Evidence of the hit and run was found on the front of the vehicle and undercarriage.

Hildebrand was arrested on June 13.
