Canyon’s Jacob Burris named to state championship all-tournament team

AUSTIN, Texas (KFDA) - The UIL Baseball State Championship all-tournament teams were announced following the conclusion of the state tournament this past weekend.
Canyon’s Jacob Burris was the lone Eagle selected to the team.
Burris went 1-2 at the plate in the Eagles’ state semifinal matchup with Liberty-Eylau. He finished with a single, RBI, and a walk in the loss.
Burris, a junior this past season for Canyon, will be one of several Eagles stars returning to the team next spring.
The teams were selected by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association.
