OHS student found with BB gun in trunk of car on campus

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - According to ECISD earlier this morning ECISD Police received a phone call after a parent had seen a student at OHS with what looked like a long black gun.
Officers found the car the parent had described and were able to locate the student who is in 9th grade at OHS.
When officers approached the student, that student had attempted to run from the police.
It was later discovered that the student did not have a gun in his possession but did find a long black BB rifle in the trunk of his car.
That student is being charged with Evading Arrest/Detention, a Class A Misdemeanor.
