Man arrested after police chase with child in car in Ector County

WEST ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - A man who was wanted on warrants out of New Mexico was captured Monday morning following a pursuit by multiple law enforcement agencies.

Around 6 a.m. Monday, 33-year-old Jesus Espinoza was driving in a vehicle with a woman and a child. After a pursuit with DPS, he jumped out and took off on foot. With the assistance of an Ector County Sheriff’s Office canine he was captured around 7:45 a.m. off of Moss Avenue near Tomahawk Trail and Tee Pee Trail in West Odessa.

Espinosa is now in custody at the Ector County Detention Center. He is facing charges of evading and child endangerment.
