AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - On Thursday, four Palo Duro High School football, baseball and track and field stars signed their National Letters of Intent to take their talents to the collegiate level.

Braylon Norman signed to reclassify as the Class of 2025 as he will be attending a prep school in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Norman says that the extra year of being able to build upon his skillset will help his game. Norman says that he is getting looks from University of California, Oklahoma University and the University of Houston once he has graduated from the prep school.

“It’s a chance to develop and get a little bigger, and another chance to do another year of high school football,” Norman said.

Zy’Quavion Smith signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his football career at Wayland Baptist University.

“It’s a big moment,” Smith said. “I’m just showing everyone that you can start off small and go big. My dream is to keep going up and try to make it to the next level.”

Jacob Jimenez signed as a dual sport athlete. Jimenez will be continuing his football and baseball career at Sterling University.

“Sterling, I went on a visit and I fell in love with the school,” Jimenez said. “It was very friendly. It was very nice. It is very small, so it is a good place to get away from a lot of trouble and stay on track. It was very God based, so that helped me very much on my decision.”

KT Dean signed to continue his track and field career at Wayland Baptist University. Dean runs the 100 meter dash and participates in the long jump.

“There’s a lot of people that haven’t been able to make it to the next level. I have a lot of young siblings and stuff and I just have to be a bigger person and just have something for them to look upon,” Dean said.
