Lady Harvesters crowned regional quarterfinals champs with game two victory over West Plains

PAMPA, Texas (KFDA) - The Pampa Lady Harvesters are crowned regional quarterfinal champions for the second year in a row after defeating the West Plains Lady Wolves in game two of the best-of-three series 6-1 on Friday.

Pampa was led by Karina Gonzalez and Kassie Arnzen in the batter’s box. Both hitters went 2-for-3 and were responsible for all the runs scored as Gonzalez and Arnzen both tallied three RBI a piece.

In the circle, Kynleigh Kirby pitched another complete game. Kirby went all seven innings only allowing four hits, one run, and retiring six batters.

For West Plains, Sydney Garza, Teagan Beck, Kaydence Singletery and Emaree Chavez all collected one hit a piece. Garza with the only run scored as the catcher hit a solo home run.

Jaylen Kapps pitched another complete game for West Plains going six innings allowing eight hits, six runs, and striking out seven batters.

The Lady Harvesters wait now to see who their opponent with be for the regional semifinals. They will player the winner of Snyder and Burkburnett. Burkburnett is who eliminated the Lady Harvesters in the regional semifinals last season.
