Rankin ISD names new Superintendent after seven month search
RANKIN, Texas (KOSA) - Rankin ISD has hired Shaye Murphy, as the district’s new Superintendent, after a seven month search.
According to a post on the Rankin Independent School District, Murphy previously worked as the Chief Administrative Officer for Gunter ISD.
He brings 22 years of experience with 17 being in educational leadership.
Murphy believes that a school’s top priority must be student learning with a focus not only on academics but also on the overall development of a child.
His goal is to see Rankin ISD continue to succeed in all areas and nurture a core based on educating students and providing them with skills to be successful and productive citizens.
This hiring comes after the district’s previous Superintendent resigned.
