Midland Police respond to stabbing, suicide

Two people were transported to the hospital for multiple stab wounds, while suspect died from stabbing himself

MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Two people were hospitalized and another died from self-inflicted stab wounds following an incident in Midland on Monday night.

At approximately 11 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2024, Midland Police Department officers responded to 1600 block of North Lamesa Road in east Midland in response to a stabbing.

After two people were transported to the hospital for multiple stab wounds, officers entered the residence and located 22-year-old suspect Elijah Frazier stabbing himself multiple times before he was apprehended. Frazier was also transported to Midland Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Midland Police reported one victim was released from the hospital, while another – a 29-year-old female – remains in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
