Kermit ISD names Interim Superintendent

KERMIT, Texas (KOSA) - Kermit ISD has announced the appointment of an Interim Superintendent.
The district announced that Dr. Rodney Schneider has been selected to fill that interim position.
Back in March, KISD’s previous Superintendent Dr. Joe Lopez announced that he was chosen as the lone finalist for the same position in Greenville ISD.
KISD says that Dr. Schneider brings over 34 years of experience to the district. He has prior experience in leading school districts similar to that of Kermit.
Dr. Schneider’s previous district was at Dublin ISD.
Kermit ISD says that his first day is Monday, April 15.
