Big Spring man accused of killing grandmother indicted for murder

BIG SPRING, Texas (KOSA) - Colten Hughes, 27, has been indicted for murder by a Howard County Grand Jury.
Hughes is accused of murdering his 67-year-old grandmother Leah Hughes on December 27th, 2023.
Our media partners at KBest Media in Big Spring report Hughes was in the 118th District Court for the indictment.
According to the Big Spring Police Department, the medical examiner determined her death was a result of a gunshot wound.
