Teen arrested after shots fired in Odessa

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Odessa Police have arrested a teenager in connection to a shots fired call.

Officers were called to 5th and West County Road on Tuesday at about 2:45 p.m. for shots fired.

Investigators say that someone inside a black Ford F-250 shot at another vehicle and threw a firearm out the window before fleeing the scene.

Officers located an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle in the roadway and later located several shell casings in the Floyd Gwin parking lot.

Through the course of the investigation, the shooting suspect was positively identified as 18-year-old Ricardo Garcia.

Garcia was later arrested and charged with Deadly Conduct “Felony 3″, Prohibited Weapon “Felony 3″, and Discharge Firearm in Certain Municipalities “Misdemeanor A”. Garcia was later located and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
