Cardi B Defended Herself After A Viral Video Showed Her Yelling At Her Production Team For Ruining Her Set Mid-Performance

After being branded “rude” and a “diva” for cursing at her production team mid-performance, Cardi has defended herself against the backlash and explained exactly what went wrong on stage.

Over the weekend, Cardi B found herself at the center of mixed discourse after a video of her yelling at her production team mid-performance went viral.

Sadly, Cardi’s set was hindered by several production issues, which she drew attention to mid-performance.

In video footage circulating online, Cardi can be seen yelling on stage, “For production, y'all messing up my pyros, the fans is off, y’all messing up my music. Fuck am I paying y’all pussy niggas for? What am I paying y’all niggas for? Put my fucking fan on, bitch. Let’s go.”

The video immediately sparked a divide online. While several people branded Cardi “rude” and disrespectful for cursing at her team mid-performance, others argued that she was within her right to express her anger, given how many things had gone wrong.

“No need for all that that's [not] how you talk to your employees,” one comment on Instagram read. “So unprofessional to be calling them out like that during the show. Talk to them in private!! Diva mentality!!” said another.

“The production team need to do their JOBS. No one should have to correct you during the performance. I would have cussed their asses out, too. They are PAID to do their jobs correctly the first time. Not after I have to call you out. That's ridiculous,” someone else wrote.

Eventually, Cardi entered the conversation, defending herself against backlash as she responded to a tweet that said, “no one should ever be disrespected like this in a workplace.”

“Girl shut up.. when you do a show you don’t pay after you pay before.. I paid 350,000 up front the least they could do is get my pyro ready and turn the fans on because guess what??? At the end of the day that money is not returnable,” Cardi wrote.

“don’t half ass my show because you comfortable when I definitely don’t half ass when it comes to paying,” she added.

“I spent 100k on pyro that we couldn’t use because the production team failed to have the fire marshall go over safety with my team which is sooo simple to do.. spent days in rehersal learning choreography just so for them to have the wrong mix and we had to swap it out,” she said.

“booked four fans so they could be turned on during Bartier Cardi and that never happened.. you wanna know why? Because they didn’t bother to show up to rehearsal while hundred thousands of dollars was put into this show. Don’t play with my money in this economy honey,” she added.
