Traffic In Toronto Is So Embarrassingly Bad That Niall Horan Had To Walk To His Own Concert Or He Was Going To Miss It

"In all of the years playing shows, I don’t think I’ve ever walked into a venue."

Toronto has unlocked a new milestone for Irish singer-songwriter, Niall Horan. And no, I'm NOT talking about performing back-to back sold out shows at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on June 28th and 29th.

I'm talking about TRAFFIC, baby! Traffic so bad that the pop star had to walk through the city to get to the venue where he was performing that night.

Horan, who rose to superstardom as a teenager in the boy band One Direction, documented the experience of walking through the streets of gridlocked Toronto on his Instagram.

Sped up footage paired with his own goofy rendition of the Proclaimers “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)" shows Niall's lengthy journey through the crowds of unaware fans and pedestrians.

After walking what appeared to be the stretch between Yonge and Bay St. under the Gardiner Expressway, Horan arrived at Scotiabank Arena — marking the first time in his decades-long career that he's entered a venue by foot.

What an accomplishment, not only for Niall but for Toronto! It's hard to find a city as un-driveable as ours! In fact, Toronto ranked third in the world for slowest traffic and took the title of the WORST city in North America for traffic. Move over Los Angeles and New York City... a real city is talking!

Visitors like Niall might have to learn this the hard way but this comes as no surprise to those of us who deal with the horrendous traffic daily.

After being put gently on blast by Niall, Torontonians took to Twitter to react to (aggressively blast) the state of our city:

hahaha welcome to our city! the go bus which carries tens of thousands of commuters daily (which u walked past) can literally take 45 minutes to make the turn from yonge onto lakeshore to get in its terminal to pick up other commuters. hope this helps❣️ https://t.co/mK7L8aZzFl

Please, please, pleeeeaaaseee come back to Toronto, Niall. We can't promise the traffic will be any better but at least you know the path to the venue now!!
