36 Of The Best Face Moisturizers So You Can Glow Like A Glazed Donut

    Moisturized, content, flourishing, et cetera!

    1. A L'Oréal Glotion that is a moisturizer, skin tint, and highlighter all in one. If you wanna be nice 'n' glazed, it's great by itself, but it can also be mixed with your go-to foundation or daily moisturizer to add a more subtle lit-from-within ~glow.~

    2. A bottle of Glossier's Futuredew that has become a cult-favorite amongst skincare devotees. With just a few drops, this oil-serum hybrid will give you a glowing complexion while its blend of jojoba, grape seed, evening primrose, and rosehip oils nourish dry skin.

    3. A hydrating CeraVe tinted mineral sunscreen that will give you that "I've been in the sun all day" glow while also protecting you from said sun. It's deeply moisturizing yet light enough to use daily — which you ought to be doing, even when the sun is hiding.

    4. A thick Weleda Skin Food moisturizer going a long way with just a little bit of the nutrient-rich formula — reviewers say this helped heal everything from eczema, damaged nurses' hands, and all varieties of even the driest skin.

Promising review: "I cannot believe my skin looks this good! I have very sensitive skin that flares up at the slightest hint of stress. I heard about this from a dermatologist's YouTube channel and decided to give it a go. Holy s*** am I glad I did. Believe me when I say you will not recognize yourself in the morning! It was like my skin transformed overnight. It was smooth and poreless, scarring had almost disappeared, and any sign of redness was gone. This was after one night! My co-workers mentioned I looked like I was glowing! I wash my face and apply two separate layers with clean hands to my face and neck. The smell is tolerable and the cream itself is extremely rich so I only wear it at night. You may feel like a greaseball but the results are worth it. I have not had a breakout since using this and, if anything, it gets rid of blemishes faster. Absolutely floored <3" —Robert F. Young

    5. An oil-free Peach & Lily water gel moisturizer with a clear weightless formula containing hyaluronic acid that will help you achieve the poreless "glass skin" look you've been seeing all over your FYP.

    Peach & Lily

Peach & Lily is an Asian woman-owned brand creating affordable and effective K-beauty products, founded by celebrity aesthetician Alicia Yoon.

Promising review: "I have never tried any of Peach & Lily's products before, but was told by a friend how clean these products are. I have extremely oily and dehydrated skin and have tried so many different brands like Neutrogena, CeraVe, and Cetaphil, and let me tell you NOTHING compares to this moisturizer. For months I've been struggling with dry flakey skin that no matter how many times I put on moisturizer during the day, my makeup looked so caked and gross that I eventually gave up wearing makeup most days. I'm not even kidding within three to four days of using this in the morning and night, my skin was no longer dry and flakey, and I am able to wear makeup again without it looking cakey. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated but not oily at all. I think it actually has helped with my oiliness because I'm not using those dang oil blotting sheets as much throughout the day anymore, and this is the only product I've changed in my routine. It dries a tiny bit sticky, but my makeup applies great over it. It doesn't make me breakout either, which I was very worried about because my skin is very sensitive. I would 110% recommend this to anyone and everyone — especially if you have extremely dry yet oily skin." —Graceeeee

    6. A La Roche-Posay repairing moisturizer that's been my personal savior time and time again through paper-dry winters, acne-prone skin, and all sorts of "meh" skin days. The formula is extremely soft, not greasy, not heavy, and makes my skin, dare I say, ~supple~.

Promising review: "So this is my first time writing a review on Amazon but I had been struggling with products overdrying my skin. I typically have very oily/ sensitive skin. My esthetician told me my skin was dry so it was overproducing oil to compensate lol go figure. It was the witch hazel toner I used to use as a toner 2X a day that was stripping my skin of its natural oils. Anyways, this product has placed all the moisture I needed back into my face without it appearing oily. I used to feel like my skin always looked so greasy and I disliked that. I love my skin routine now especially at night. My skin has never felt healthier. My skin feels exactly the way I always wanted. Thankful for these gentle yet effective products." —Cat Parks

Promising review: "This is an everyday staple! Ever since 2020, I wanted to take a step back from heavier makeup and start paying attention more to my skin. However, I do have some redness and hyperpigmentation I'm not too thrilled about. For the longest time I was self conscious about these imperfections. So much so, that I used to always feel the need to have foundation on before leaving the house. This product perfectly helped me transition to going foundation free a majority of the time. The color correcting element blends perfectly into my skin and blurs the redness around my nose. I also really love that this has SPF as well! Thanks Dr. Jart for helping me to love my own skin again <3" —PikuPiku

    8. Eucerin Redness Relief Night Creme enriched with a secret ingredient (spoiler alert: it's licorice root) to obliterate any pesky redness and irritation. Reviewers say it's been a lifesaver for sufferers of rosacea!

Promising review: "I’ve been struggling with this clustered red/blister patch for almost three years. I only developed this after giving birth, before that I’ve always had clear skin. I had always assumed it was acne and was treating it as such. Someone recommended to treat us as rosacea; so I changed all my products. Switched to Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser and this product at night. It’s been two weeks and I’ve already noticed a significant difference! My face has calmed down, the redness isn’t as noticeable as it once was and the bumps have almost completely disappeared. I will buy again!" —Kel

    9. Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench moisturizer purporting to draw in moisture from the atmosphere, keeping your skin nice and quenched for up to 72 hours. It also contains a 30% hyaluronic acid concentrate, so you know you're getting some bang for your buck.

Promising review: "I'm an oilier lady. Always have been. If they could figure out a way to use face oil as a fuel source I'd be rich. Thing is, I'm also experiencing some of the signs of aging. You know the ones — the slightly sagging cheeks, the smile lines that deepen more than they used to, the scowl lines between the brows that don't go away as readily as they used to. I need to add moisture to my skin without making it into a greasy mess. I've tried about a zillion products (mostly thanks to beauty subscription boxes) and most I received were too heavy and made me feel like I needed to blot my face throughout the day. This cloud cream, on the other hand, has been amazing. It's light and non-greasy, but makes my skin feel soft and supple. I can put whatever makeup over the top I'd like and know that it won't come sliding off by lunchtime. There is a light fragrance to the product but it's not overpowering (I had to stick my nose down near the jar to tell) so unless one is super-sensitive, it likely won't be an issue. Will repurchase." —Elizabeth R.

    11. A gentle LilyAna Naturals moisturizer that, like the name suggests, contains a bunch of botanical ingredients like cranberry, meadowfoam seed oil, and rose distillate — tasty treats your skin will nomnomnom eat right up.

Promising review: "I've struggled with dry winter skin and acne for years. I hate a lot of skin maintenance so it was always frustrating to me that I actually needed to use a PRODUCT in the wintertime to keep from breaking out in large, flaky patches. I was looking for something light, something that would plump up the little fine lines that come with being middle-aged, and something that wouldn't break me out. And we have five children so I'm a fan of cheap. I shop based on reviews, and reviewer after reviewer convinced me to try it. I'm so glad I did. I'm on my second purchase of it and I truly love it. It isn't greasy or gloppy and I can put my makeup on over it minutes after applying. My skin is clearer than it has been in years. And I've still got a few lines but I get comments on my clear skin often. A little goes a long way. Love this product!!" —Jennifer K Thorpe

Over 50 years old and so many people say your skin is beautiful for your age. I've recommended it to a few close friends and they actually love it also. Clinique: don't stop making this." —Paulac55

    13. A snail repair cream that's (and hear me out here) slimy... but in a good way. It's like a gel moisturizer, but with some added oomph due to the 92% snail secretion filtrate, a K-beauty ingredient that repairs, protects, and moisturizes.

Promising review: "I've always had pretty clear skin with only a few occasional pimples. My issue has always been dry skin, but lately I've also been noticing more issues. Dull and rough texture. Fine lines. Sun spots. Flaking. I've NEVER had a skin care routine. Zero. But a couple of weeks ago, I stumbled upon the Korean 10-step skin care routine while searching for self-care steps to help ease my anxiety. It's changed my life. My skin feels better than it ever has! This product is one of those that's played a HUGE role in that. It smooths me out and keeps my skin so soft and moisturized. I feel like I'm getting pretty close to achieving that coveted glass skin. No filters on either picture. Seriously, if you're debating, get it." —Anastacia Jensen

    14. L'Oreal collagen moisturizer saving you money for fillers, because the collagen in this baby will naturally smooth out any fine lines and plump your face to high heaven — without any pain and/or hundreds of dollars.

Promising review: "I admit I was skeptical about switching to a collagen moisturizer. Nonetheless, I’ve noticed that using it made my skin softer and better hydrated. During the winter, my skin didn’t dry out as easily as it did with my previous moisturizers. My skin is sensitive, and this product has been beneficial for it. On top of all that, I also noticed that incorporating this product and retinol into my skin care routine has also significantly decreased the appearance of the fine lines on my forehead. I have just finished one of these and am currently using this same product again. 10/10 would recommend to others!" —Ghia

    15. First Aid Beauty repairing moisturizer versatile enough to be used on your face and body. Reviewers say it's heavy-duty without being greasy or overly heavy on your skin, so if you're looking for moisture on moisture on moisture, this is for you.

Promising review: "I don't leave reviews, but I really felt like sharing my love for this moisturizer/cream. I've heard wonderful things about this product from various skin care channels on YouTube, but was hesitant because of the price. I recently started using 0.5% Tretinoin and when I tell you my skin was dry, I mean like large patches of skin that were peeling all over my face and my skin is extremely sensitive, even more so since I've been using the Retinoid. I've been using Cerave, but it wasn't enough. I needed a heavy cream, but I have very oily skin so I had to find the right cream that didn't make me feel gross and overly slimey. I could tell the first time I used it that this is what I've been looking for, but well surpassed my needs. It checks all the right boxes. It's thick, but not too heavy on the skin. It's moisturizing, but it isn't slimey and it makes your skin feel like velvet. This is a pretty long review for a face/hand cream, but man oh man it's really just that damn good. Personally, I truly believe this cream beats every single one I've tried, even better than the Drunk Elephant Whipped Creme. If you're on the fence, just buy it. You won't regret it." —Lyndy L.

    16. A Vitamin C moisturizer whose delectable whipped texture is to die for — not to mention it's packed full of ingredients that will actually brighten your skin and prevent discoloration.

Eight Saints is a woman-owned small biz dedicated to narrowing down the oversaturated skincare ingredient industry and focusing on eight key ingredients that actually deliver benefits.

Promising review: "This is definitely one of my favorite skincare products. As someone with sensitive skin, I always have to watch anything with strong scents or creams that are too heavy (as they give me breakouts). That's made it hard to find a good moisturizer that provides hydration while being light enough to avoid acne. This cream is the answer to that. I use it every night, and was initially skeptical that such a light cream wouldn't rub off, but it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave behind that oily feeling that some other creams do. It feels fresh and smells amazing — a citrusy smell that's noticeable, but not overwhelming. I have only been using it for a short time, but it's already started to ease the redness around my cheeks and nose. I'm not sure if that's due to how hydrating it is or if it also helps to even skin tone, but either way, my skin is thankful for it. Definitely recommend it, especially for those with sensitive skin." —Kristiana Beers

    17. A Neutrogena Hydro Boost moisturizer that'll have you looking forward to your evening skincare routine even more than usual, since you'll feel the soft, smooth, hydrated benefits right after.

With maaaaany hours spent looking for a FACE lotion with good reviews I came across this and let me just say IT IS WORTH THE MONEY, I am in love! Works for face and body which I was skeptical about at first but I do not regret my purchase at all and I highly highly recommend anyone purchase this. 20. A priming moisturizer acting as a flawless base for your makeup and also giving you a perfectly hydrated face at the same time. We love a multiuse beauty product!

Promising review: "I've known about this product for years, but never tried it until now. When I would hear it raved about in interviews with celeb makeup artists, I thought the way they described it made it sound too heavy and rich for my preference. It's not too rich and it's not too thin. It blends in easily and soaks in quickly. I have overall normal or balanced skin type, but my T-zone can get a little shiny by end of day. This gave a hydrated satin look to my skin and it made my foundation seem more luxuriously expensive than without it. It's the only product I used under the foundation and it acted as an all-in-one moisturizer and primer. The makeup looked freshly applied until I removed it!" —MV

On our second jar now." —Mellano

Krave Beauty is a skincare brand founded by YouTuber Liah Yoo helping chronic skincare overusers press reset on their routine with skin-friendly basics.

Promising review: "I have sensitive, dehydrated, but oily skin that sometimes gets dry. It’s a very challenging skin 'type' to have. I had been struggling to find the right moisturizer for a long time — they were either too lightweight or too heavy. I was at my wit's end and decided to try this cream. I picked up the snack pack, and couldn’t believe how well my skin took to it. I was also surprised at how creamy it was. A lot of reviews online compare it to the Aveeno Calm and Restore moisturizer, which in my opinion is a lightweight gel moisturizer and didn’t work for me as a result. The simple ingredient list here is also a godsend. Thank you, Krave, for keeping it simple and using only truly skin friendly and supportive ingredients!" —Lindsay C.

I have a healthy supply of creams in my collection but I just keep coming back to this one. There’s this wonderful cushiony texture and the smell is heavenly. I use it as my last layer in my routine at night, and it seals everything in perfectly. I have used it in the daytime too and I let it fully sink in before I place any layers over it. It leaves my skin feeling soft, plump, and hydrated without being greasy. I really enjoy this cream and I recommend it highly." —Lauren H.

    26. repairing Etude House moisturizer with a thick, but watery (if that's possible? I think it is) formulation that's become a wintertime staple for me, since it feels like it's building up my skin's natural barrier without feeling like I have anything on!

Promising review: "I have only been using this product for about a week and already I am seeing wonderful improvements in my skin. Immediately after using, your skin feels so soft and supple and it stays feeling that way all throughout the day. I’ve had some weird skin issues since getting off of the birth control pill, so my skin barrier has been suffering, causing my skin to be dry and more acne prone than it has been in years. Using active ingredients has only made my skin drier and more sensitive, so I looked to this as an alternative to making my skin soft and dewy again and it has already made such a difference in my skin and made me so much more confident going out without makeup. Definitely buying again!!" —Amelia Hayes

I've switched off of this twice, but every time I come back, I'm amazed by the immediate improvements. From now on, I'm sticking with this. I have oily skin and saw this was recommended (on TikTok) for oily skin. It is such an amazing moisturizer. It feels like aloe and it is such a nice formula. It is a bit sticky which is great for makeup application but I love to use this at night to soothe my skin. It’s heavenly, I’ve been through three bottles already. It’s definitely a hit. Promising review: "Everyone, I have finally found THE ONLY moisturizer that soothes my sensitive combination skin. I applied some onto my hand, and to my surprise, the cream instantly turned into a water-like consistency — it absorbed quickly and didn’t leave a sticky residue, and the smell was incredibly fresh and not too perfumey. Within a week, my skin was noticeably less irritated. The pimples were still there (because this is not an acne-treating moisturizer), but new ones stopped popping up. The formula was gentle enough that it didn’t make any existing zits inflamed, which tends to happen when I try new products. It was light enough that my T-zone didn’t get too shiny, but also hydrating enough that my cheeks felt properly moisturized. My makeup went on smoothly too — no more random dry patches. By the time the sample ran out, most of my pimples had healed on their own and my face looked clearer than it had in a long time. I took a leap of faith and ordered the full-size jar, and I haven’t looked back since! Even though it's pricey ($68!!) and I hate spending a lot on beauty products, I do believe it’s worth it: NOTHING ELSE has achieved the same effect for me. Plus, a little goes a long way with this cream." —Yi Yang

Promising review: "This is probably my favorite moisturizer from FaceTheory so far. It's very hydrating, but it doesn't leave the skin feeling oily at all! I just love it!" —Raechel Tucker

"I've gone through about 10 tubes of this now over the past couple of years! I have combination/oily skin and it absorbs quickly, doesn't clog my pores, and leaves my face really glowy. Couldn't recommend enough" —Louise

Promising review: "I love this face cream. It is light and creamy, makes my face feel good and it makes my skin look hydrated. The price is great and I would recommend it to anyone. Does a nicer job than most of the expensive creams do. And there is no fragrance, which I love. Great product." —Duck

    34. A salicylic acid moisturizer containing 2% of the active ingredient to target and improve oily, acne-prone skin while nourishing it at the same time.

Promising review: "FINALLY! A product that targets acne production and is not abrasive to my skin. I am impressed on the results after three days only. I purchased the other two Vichy acne products (spot corrector and toner) after I saw the good quality and research there is behind this line. I use it in morning and evening, doesn't peel, doesn't make your skin dull — my glowing face is back and acne is controlled. No inflammation on my spots. I haven't felt more comfortable about my skin until now that I use this product. Thank you for the amazing work Vichy! You won a loyal customer." —dp3000
