IPL Valuation Study 2024

An Indian Premier League (IPL) valuation study released by global investment bank Houlihan Lokey revealed various teams' brand value.

Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings continue to lead with a brand value of $231 million in 2024, up from $212 million in 2023, registering a 9 percent growth after ending up fifth on the points table in IPL 2024.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who are yet to win a trophy are second with a brand value of $227 million, up from $195 million in 2023, registering a growth of 16.4 percent.

Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders, who won their third IPL trophy in 2024 registered a growth of 19.3 percent. The team’s brand value increased from $181 million in 2023 to $216 million in 2024.

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians who had a forgettable year in IPL 2024 and ended up last reported a brand value of $204 million in 2024, up from $190 million in 2023, recording a growth of 7.4%.

Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals who ended up third in IPL 2024 reported a growth of 10.8 percent. The company reported a brand value of $133 million in 2024, up from $120 million in 2023.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

IPL 2024 runner-up Sunrisers Hyderabad reported a brand value of $132 million in 2024, up from $128 million in 2023, registering a growth of just 3.1 percent.

Delhi Capitals

Despite a decent season, Delhi Capitals has emerged as the only team to register a decline. The team reported a brand value of $131 million in 2024, down from $133 million in 2023, registering a 1.5 percent decline.

Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans who had a bad season have a brand value of $124 million, up from $120 million in 2023, registering a 3.3 percent growth.

Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings, another team yet to win an IPL trophy recorded a growth of 12.2 percent. The team’s brand value increased from $90 million in 2023 to $101 million in 2024, despite a bad season and ending up in the ninth position.

Lucknow Super Giants

Lucknow Super Giants are tenth, with a brand value of $91 million in 2024, up from $83 million in 2023, registering a 9.6 percent growth. The team had an average season, ending up seventh on the points table.
