Boiler and heating firm Baxi has opened a new flagship centre which will triple its capacity for training industry professionals.

The new hub at its Warwick head office will provide dedicated training spaces for heating professionals across the Midlands to get hands-on experience with its heating and hot water products.

The new 10,000 sq ft facility, called ‘Solutions Academy', also has a digital studio and commercial training room and forms part of the company's mission to help installers and customers decarbonise heat and hot water.

The digital studio supports the firm's new e-learning platform, to be launched later this year. Overall, the new facility enables the company to increase its training capacity from 600 to 2,000 delegates.

The wider company currently has a nationwide team of ten trainers, operating out of four owned facilities and 13 satellite centres based in third-party education facilities.

Baxi said it expected to have the capacity to physically train 10,000 installers a year by 2025, with an additional 5,000 installers benefiting annually through Baxi's e-learning platform.

Head of UK training Ian Trott said: "I'm excited about the future, not just because of our fantastic new training solutions centre in Warwick but because of our opportunity in supporting commercial sector skills through a dedicated solutions room in Warwick.

"The company's new focus on solutions training, alongside its traditional product training, is expected to be replicated in Baxi's other main training centres in Warrington, Dartford and Dublin.

"Our Warwick investment is important because it's the blueprint of what we will do in the future."
