Schedule

Registration for Summer 2024 Orientation will open on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. The official schedule will be emailed to students 2 days prior to your registered session. A tentative schedule will be posted here in May 2024. Please read below for general timing for our Orientation sessions this summer. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact our office.

June Orientation Sessions

• Check-in for Orientation will start at 9am. Remember to leave extra time to first check into your overnight accommodations in West Campus before heading over to the George Sherman Union (GSU) to check in for your Orientation session. Residence Hall check-in will be available at 6am.
• The Orientation Welcome will start in the GSU on the second floor at 10am during day 1 of session
• Students attending a June Orientation session will be staying overnight on day 1 of Orientation in West Campus. Check out our accommodations page for more information.
• Day 2 of Orientation will begin with breakfast around 8:30am
• Day 2 will end by 5pm

August Orientation Session 5

• Please note, all students attending this session must attend the First-Year Student Outreach Project (FYSOP) on Wednesday, August 28 – Friday, August 30. FYSOP registration opens at 9am on May 1, 2024.
• Check-in for Orientation will start at 12pm in the George Sherman Union (GSU).
• The Orientation Welcome will start in the GSU on the second floor in the afternoon during day 1 of session. Exact time will be posted in May.
• Day 2 of Orientation will begin with breakfast around 8:30am
• Day 2 will end by 5pm
• If you are living on campus this fall, you should not select an appointment date and time to move-in to campus housing via your My Housing Portal. You are eligible to move in on Monday, August 26, 2024. Please continue to check your BU email for more information about move-in, which will come from Orientation, Housing and the Community Service Center.
• If you are living off campus for Fall 2024 we are unable to provide any housing accommodations for your Orientation session as all rooms are being prepared for their Fall semester occupants

August Orientation Session 6

• Check-in for Orientation will start at 9am at Agganis Arena.
• If you are living on-campus this fall, you will be able to select an appointment date and time for your move-in to campus housing using the My Housing Portal beginning Monday, July 8. We strongly advise you to select to move in on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 so you can participate fully in your Orientation experience on Thursday and Friday, August 29 and 30.
• If you are living off campus for Fall 2024 we are unable to provide any housing accommodations for your Orientation session as all rooms are being prepared for their Fall semester occupants
• The Orientation Welcome will start at 10am at Agganis Arena during day 1 of session
• Day 2 of Orientation will begin with breakfast around 8:30am
• Day 2 will end by 5pm
