About ENG

Engineered for Impact

In a world that is rapidly changing, we have transformed the College of Engineering, creating just three departments and two divisions. This streamlined structure enables robust collaboration, bringing together students and faculty with different passions, insights, skills, sensibilities and curiosities—all of it reflecting our deep commitment to diversity. This interdisciplinary thinking removes boundaries. It’s at the core of everything we do—and informs and inspires all our advancements in the key areas centered around education, research and participation with industry. At the College of Engineering, we are Engineered for Impact, and intent on continuing our lead role in creating solutions that will significantly impact society and humankind today and into the future.

Great Minds Do Not Think Alike

Traditional engineering education has too often remained locked in—nestled behind walls of siloed thinking and multiple departments that default to regimented thinking and single-minded approaches. The College of Engineering is structured to solve today’s complex problems by creating broad-minded thinkers and innovators.

Convergent Research
