Marc Kornbleuth

Research Scientist

Marc Kornbleuth completed his undergraduate work at Boston University (BU) in 2013, studying the heating and acceleration of solar winds for the Sun and M dwarf stars with Prof. Merav Opher. After graduating, he worked with Dr. Brad Wargelin at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where he conducted research on charge exchange in the Earth’s upper atmosphere. In the Fall of 2014, he returned to BU as a graduate student, where he has continued doing research with Prof. Opher and completed his PhD in 2020. He is currently working on the NASA DRIVE Center, SHIELD, with Prof. Opher.

Research Interests: structure of the heliosphere, magnetohydrodynamic modeling, solar wind charge exchange
