The British Society for Dermatological Surgery (BSDS) is the UK leader in the field of dermatological surgery. The purpose of the Society is to promote, for the public benefit, interest in and knowledge of Dermatological Surgery.

The BSDS have a range of meetings and courses that run throughout the year and offer fellowships and awards. The BSDS provide resources, such as surgical log books, case studies and peer reviews for the benefit of medical professionals. They have also produced minimum standards documents and position statements on issues relating to Dermatological Surgery. Learn more>

19th Annual Trainee Day – 14th November 2024

Event start date - 14/11/2024

The BSDS Trainee Day offers a chance for registrars to improve and update their skin surgery through a variety of lectures and case discussions. Read more »

41st Annual Surgery Workshop – 31st March – 2nd April 2025, Newcastle

Event start date - 31/03/2025

The workshop is a long-established training course in skin surgery, consisting of lectures & hands-on practical sessions covering basic & intermediate aspects of skin surgery. Read more »

Consultant Surgical Refresher Course 2025

Event start date - 02/04/2025

(Registration not yet open). This is a practical skin surgery course for Consultant Dermatologists of all levels, including non-surgeons. The workshop will be led by a faculty consisting of Consultant Dermatological Surgeons and will provide hands-on practical sessions with the opportunity for one on one tuition, alongside lectures relating to different aspects of dermatological surgery.
