Borough Park & Midwood

Home to one of the largest Orthodox Jewish communities outside of Israel, Borough Park and Midwood are largely residential areas, abounding in kosher eateries, historic synagogues, and local mom-and-pop shops that are increasingly disappearing in most other sections of the borough. Midwood is bounded by the Bay Ridge Branch rail line, while Borough Park sprawls out between McDonald and 9th Avenue. Hebrew signs dot both enclaves’ commercial strips.
