In 1872, two bushrangers harassed settlers along the West Australian colony, plundering their fields and houses.
The well-dressed rascals had a taste for fine women, fine food and fine wine. All-day diner Bib & Tucker is named after these two troublemakers. Started by a swimmer, a pole vaulter and a hockey player, the restaurant pays tribute to the rangers by serving all things fine in a relaxed and playful atmosphere.
Poised beachside above the North Fremantle Surfers Club, diners enjoy uninterrupted vistas of the Indian Ocean, while the kitchen pumps out unpretentious Modern Australian fare. A rotisserie and wood-fired oven sit centre stage driving the direction of the menu.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be sampled on set menus and might include buttermilk pancakes drizzled in salted caramel; haloumi and cauliflower fritters served salty; and chilli-prawn pizza with salsa verde.
To drink, cold-pressed juices and nut milks sit alongside cocktails such as the Elegant Rascality, which muddles vodka with elderflower, berries and citrus.
The wine list stays mostly local, with only a few international inclusions.
