Grammy-nominated artist Montaigne headlines the annual Hobart celebration of song, taking place during this year’s Off Season.

For nearly 20 years, the Festival of Voices has celebrated the transformative power of singing. Inspired by the tradition of gathering around a fire, this joyous winter festival is a major event in Hobart’s calendar.

This year’s festival, between Friday June 28 and Sunday July 7, is headlined by Grammy-nominated Australian artist Montaigne, who’ll perform at Hobart’s Odeon Theatre on Saturday July 6. The popular Big Sing Bonfire remains a vital part of the line-up, bringing thousands of people together in song around a bonfire. It’s an iconic part of the festival and an event which can’t be found anywhere else.

Expect all manner of musical styles in the program, from choral and cabaret to contemporary pop and more. There’ll be concerts, learning and development workshops, and informal singalongs aplenty, taking place not just in Hobart, but also in Launceston, Franklin, Port Arthur and St Helens.

Check out the full program on the Festival of Voices website; tickets are available now.
