I just wanted to post feedback as a buyer. I got a message that 'to access
your seller features you need a confirmation code'. Why is that?

Ok. That explains the bits I already knew/ understood. I know what MFA is.
That page does not explain why it also applies to a buyer feature: giving feedback
to a seller.

Because "seller" supersedes "buyer" in that as a buyer there's
little you can misbehave (apart placing stupid orders), but as a seller you can
get paid (for something you didn't listed).

So whatever you're doing, as being a seller all your pages are then more
protected.

Put another way: There’s no difference between giving a feedback as a buyer
or as seller.  It’s the same page and the same resources involved.  And I think
the MFA is linked to the URL (= page).  So it’s all or nothing.
Also, it’s not because you’re a buyer for this order that you’re not acting as
a business, that you don’t have more weight, more risks, because you’re also
a seller.

So, both Sylvains are right I guess.

What is especially fun is that after entering the code and leaving the feedback,
the BL 'Back' button, that normally takes you back to the orders page
you came from, now returns you to the code confirm page as well as triggering
another code email.
