The window AC kept shutting off during the night it got pretty warm in there, that was the only window in the room so we could not open it. There was no bolt/latch on the door so we had a jam a chair underneath the door knob.

The price and the fact that it had 3 beds.

The only drawback is its right next to a busy road and aircraft taking off pass almost right over the hotel,the nearest transit station is Old Town Transit Centre which is a good 15 minutes walk away just turn left out of the hotel and keep walking down Rosecrans Street and you'll eventually come to it where you can reach downtown in about 15 minutes.

Good value for money place to stay in,room was clean and the bed was comfortable and the staff were all helpful and friendly.

The hotel is dated, the tiles, the bedspreads, the curtains all seemed, like they needed an upgrading; especially the curtains. They could definitely use new air conditioner at least in our room. It was noisy.

The proximity to In-N-Out & some other fast food places was nice. A cool Barnes & Noble, and very cool locally owned, coffee shop was across the street. The third bed in our bedroom was slightly away from our beds, which was also a great bonus. The towels & sheets were clean. The best feature for us was the fact that it was so very close to MCRD and that’s what we were there for. A graduation at MCRD.

This is my third visit to this facility, and the room and staff continue to keep me coming back - especially the staff. Some reviewers complain about noise, but San Diego is home to several military installations, plus an international airport, so I expect air traffic noise. The hotel is right on a major street, too, so there is some road noise but not any more than any other hotel in the area. The room has tile floors which are very clean, as my bare feet show me. Staff is very kind, friendly, and helpful. There are abundant grocers, delis, coffee shops, and eateries nearby. I appreciate how quick it is to visit Mission Beach, Cabrillo National Monument, Liberty Station, and Balboa Park from this location.

There should be some hangars in closet, would be immensely helpful. Only real complaint was a couple that couldn't stop arguing/fighting until very late. The office was closed, so it's hard for owners to micro-manage something like that. No complaints otherwise. Really cool facility. Have stayed there several times.

Just simply a good presentation of value... clean room, intuitive layout of towel placements, good size 300+ sq ft, decent tv, ample lighting, etc. Staff is awesome, pleasant, congenial !!

The room had absolutely "no frills", but I really wasn't expecting any, but I wouldn't have liked a blow dryer. The plug outlets were very loose and we had a hard time keeping our cellphone cords in. It would have been nice to have extra towels available. Wish we would have had a little bottle of body wash vs the bar soap - that was a wasted purchase, in my opinion. It's an inexpensive luxury your customer would really appreciate. If you had some local menus available to look at, that would have been nice. A bench out front while you are waiting for your taxi or shuttle. All in all, it was quiet and restful. Thank you for a quick trip.

The room could have been cleaner. We lifted the mattresses to check for bed bugs. No bugs! But there was dust and dirt under the mattresses and they had some stains. The bed was okay, but we used our our own blankets.

A good stay for one night. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room had 3 queen beds (only paid for 2) a refrigerator and a microwave. Kids enjoyed the pool, and we were given extra towels. They have a washer and dryer if you need to do some laundry.

Beds were not great, but we did find comfortable spots on each one. Not much water pressure in the shower. Ice was not available when we were there. No place to hang wet towels (we brought our own dryer). It has been almost two weeks since we left, and we still have not received our "damage deposit" back.

It had three beds, parking was close to the room, staff was responsive to our needs. Hotel was close to our destination and several places that we needed to go to. Nice to have a fridge and microwave.

The beds were terribly uncomfortable. Also it is right off a very busy street and it was loud in the room.

The location was close to every where I wanted to go.
