SCAM ALERT Nothing about this place was good. It is a complete scam. They took a security deposit from us (of AED 3,434) that was taken from a link sent to us outside booking.com and have still not paid us back even though it has been more than a month since we have checked out of the space. The company mentioned on booking.com is not running the place (City Apartment Stay). It is managed by UpperKey (which is mentioned on the door of the apartment). The only reason I am writing a review so late is because my wife and i thought we would get some of our security deposit back, but we still have not. My wife had made the booking and her account keeps getting blocked whenever she tries to write a review for this property. it is a HORRIBLE APARTMENT. The management is SCAMMING PEOPLE.

My wife and I booked this space on the 15th of June 2024 from the 16th of June - 24th of June 2024. The issues we faced were the following: - Hair strands everyone in the room - washroom faucets were leaking and were rusted - towels that were provided had stains on them - only 2 toilet rolls provided for an 8 night stay - no bath mats provided - kitchen was non functional - the washing machine was stinking up the entire apartment - AC was not working - there were ants crawling in the couch as well as the bed As soon as we checked in, we had messaged the property manager Renie through booking.com informing him about the issues mentioned above and he immediately and rudely told us that nothing could be done at that moment and it would not be possible to send cleaners until the next day evening. Only when we called Renie multiple times and sent him photos of the apartment, did he say that he will send the cleaners by the next day morning. Since the AC was not working well and it was about 45 degrees celsius in Dubai at the time, we begged Renie to send the technician. The technician arrived the next day and told us that the AC needed to be cleaned and serviced and left without fixing the AC. We could barely sleep during the two nights we stayed hoping that the holiday managing company would do something about it, but they didn't. So, my wife and I decide to leave the place as the apartment was so badly kept. My wife was constantly in touch with Renie over the phone asking him to help us out but he did not care. We checked out of the room on the 18th of June 2024, and informed the host of the same. We also asked UpperKey to refund our stay for the nights that we didnt stay there due to the filth and they denied our request saying that it was not their fault. We also reached out to booking.com and had to explain to them about how horrible our experience was and we were met with extrmely unhelpful answers.

The service, facilities, and location was fantastic. The key component of my satisfaction were the staff specially Mr. Ramazan in the reception who took care of an unforeseen situation with loads of sensitivity. Every single employee in the hotel goes beyond their daily routine to make sure that your needs are met. Bravo to all of you :)

Property was close to Jbr and Dmcc metro station. The staff service was exceptional. Specially Rajindra (manager). Highly recommended for families and couples.

Everyone has their own preferences but for me watching Netflix, Amazon and Youtube is a major preference. The Tv in every room needs to be upgraded with smart Tv. The hotel has used smart tv device to make the normal Tv work as smart Tv. Therefore, the system is slow and the upgrade will make this hotel 10/10.

Most amenities were missing in the room mainly in the bathroom, the mini bar was empty, and dinner wasn't too bad with a little variety! The seafood wasn't fresh and these are not intercontinental standards! Drinks were not included in the half board package so we had to pay extra for the drinks, i believe this should have been mentioned before the booking! The restaurant closes early so we had to go to sleep, they don't have enough entertainment options .. disappointing experience by Intercontinental hotels
