Location is excellent, smack dab in the middle of Midtown Manhatten near the Empire State Building. The metro station 34 St-Herald Square is a 50 feet from the entrance to the hotel, making our travels a lot easier during our stay.

We liked the location but other people may not, as being right in Times Square, it was quite noisy. Bed was comfortable. Room was a sufficient size for 2 people. Breakfast was basic but sufficient.

Room needs updating, worn carpet, cracked tiles, drawers not closing etc. A fridge in the room would be handy. No seating for breakfast. Items placed in bags and taken back to room. No information in rooms or foyer about tours etc. No info on internet connection in room. Had to log in to internet each night.

Comfiest bed ! Amazing view. Amazing air con , my room was like walking into a cool fridge after the sweltering New York heat. Huge nice shower. Great breakfast and cool lounge.

AC unit in our bedroom was leaking so carpet was wet. Rude male staff member at checkout made me go upstairs to fetch my room key when I checked out as I had left it in the room. Made me late for my travel connection.

Just a room with big name / brand.. basic amenities that even any 3-star property would provide are missing is this 5-star MGM property. No complimentary water, no tea bags or coffee or hot water kettle (even if I were to use my own tea bags). Incidentally, the same tea bags and hot water are available as part of paid in room dining. No slippers, towel sizes smaller than most 5-star properties. Only one dental kit by default for a room with 2 adults +1 kid booking, requiring guests to call housekeeping for such basic stuff. Room size and decor is also pretty average for resorts of such size, name and locations like Vegas and Macau, unlike Venetian, where each room is a suite with amazing bedding /furnishings and at a lower price. Essentially, corners have been cut in every possible way to cut cost, making a mockery of 5-star hospitality. All of above with an added $50 of resort fee. One more thing, while it is advertised as a Marriott Bonvoy Club member property, it applies only applicable if booked via Marriott app. To be fair, this could be a Marriott Bonvoy issue more than MGM's. The only saving grace is the location. It is bang at the center of the Las Vegas strip. But then, that cannot be all for the price one pays and the stature of this property.
