Very friendly and helpful staff. They gave us a couple of nice nearby restaurants to visit during our stay. The rooms were small but very comfortable for the duration of the stay. The Metro was a distance to walk to but it allowed us to see the nearby shops. HIghly recommended stay!

We loved Montmartre where we first stayed, but it was taxing...
We loved Montmartre where we first stayed, but it was taxing to get about. The funicular was a great help. Traffic in Paris does slow thngs down and the hop on hop off buses took a long while to get around. we got better after a few days at using public transport. The last hotel (Campanile) was more central and we could walk to the Ile de France, around Notre Dame Cathedral and to the Holocaust museum and more. We also were lucky to catch a Sunday market in the park nearby. Food aplenty in restaurants and cafes If you use the "formules" you can eat quite reasonably here. The trip on the Seine is good for old fogies too - more relaxing. A few days is enough and we like smaller towns. Not bothered with going into and up on everything but it was nice to stroll down the Champs Elysee.

We had three full days in Paris and crammed in the following: Arc de Triomphe, shopping on the Champs Elysee, Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Centre Pompidou, Tour Eiffel, Notre Dame, Moroccan food at the Marche des Enfants Rouge. We did not have time for Montmartre or the Musee Rodin which were also on our hit list. Thoroughly enjoyed staying in the St Michel area, just south of Ile de France at the Hotel Royal St Michel, which is perfect for couples or families with older children. We had thoroughly good time, and enjoyed superb weather in late May.

They then offered me a beautiful room, airy and spacious. Overlooking Avenue Montaigne, with side view of Eiffel Tower. They definitely exceeded my expectations! I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely come back here this time withy family. It is an experience worth having and paying for. Every single staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. Many were delightful to deal with. My room, which had a semi private little courtyard to sit out in the sun and watch the robins hopping around was large and very comfortable. There are many activities to choose from - unfortunately the weather was wet and windy, but there are many warm and cosy areas to sit in and enjoy a book or just watch the weather. The food in the restaurant is tasty, very French and fresh - some of it grown on site. They also have a very efficient laundry service which I appreciated as a traveller on the road for three months! I went for long walks and generally had a lovely relaxing time.
