Located in Bangkok, Ekanek Hostel is a 1-minute walk from Patpong and provides facilities like terrace and shared lounge. Ideally situated in the Bang Rak district, this hostel offers a bar. Snake Farm-Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute is 300 metres from the hostel. I had such a wonderful experience here. It feels like a boutique hostel with a modern industrial aesthetic. The whole place is emasculate. In the rooms, the beds are big and comfortable, lots of locker space, strong wifi, great AC (and it ran quietly), privacy curtains, light and outlet next to the bed, good quality towel. There are lots of showers and bathrooms (some coed, some separate sexes) all stocked with body wash, shampoo, hand soap and toilet paper. In the common area, there is free water, coffee and tea all day and a fridge to store a few things. The common area is also a great place for digital nomads - it has strong wifi, good AC, lots of tables, plenty of outlets, and it was almost always quiet. In addition to all the facilities, I can’t speak highly enough of the owner. He is such a kind man. He helped me buy a ticket for the night train which is really hard to do from the official website, but saved me some money and time. He also had great recommendations on where to go in the city and told me which public transport was best to use. He really cares about his guests and wants them to have a good visit! I really liked the location. The hostel has lots of food nearby. Plus, it’s about 5 minutes from a 7-11, 8 minutes to multiple metro lines, 5 minutes to several bus lines. Note that this hostel is a quiet one, which I really appreciated. Everyone was friendly and I made a friend, but I wasn’t in the mood to socialize much so it was perfect for me.

Cheap and cheerful. Shaheen made me feel very welcome and safe. The place seems to be lived in mostly, not a tourist place. If you just want a cheap room, with easy access to MRT (10mins to Charan 13) then it is good. I've done the hotels in centre of BKK and needed a budget place to sleep this time. Large room. Cheap food and market on site.
Good location, walkable from Makkasan airport rail link station or easy to get a taxi there. Close to night markets and few 7Eleven shops. Very friendly and helpful staff. In female dormitory the bathroom with toilet is directly in the room, so it is convenient and no need to go to other floors, the sink is on the balcony. Bed is hard but comfy, with your own shelf, light and socket, as well as curtains for privacy and light blocking. The hostel is comfortable and safe, in a quiet street, wifi works well. Would stay again!
The location is ideal for exploring Bangkok, especially if you're travelling on a budget and just want somewhere safe to stay at night, get a good sleep and freshen up but want a break from hostels. The staff were friendly and there's a bar and restaurant attached.
Absolute insider. The hostel just opened. Great location, you have a very cheap and authentic food market next door and the BTS and the ferry are a few minutes away. Great stylish hostel with fantastic furnishing. The owner speaks perfect English and knows great activities to do in Bangkok.
Best hostel to stay under budget. Spacious dorms, clean. Washrooms and room . Just beside BTS station to easily accessible. Very nice property
Great location and great staff, definitely the best hostel we ever stayed in! The bed was really spacious, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!
The location is excellent, just a walking distance to the MRT station. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and can speak english quite well. The price is quite cheap, good for backpackers / budget traveler.
Picked this as it was between Khao San Road and Mad Monkey Hostel - I’m a backpacker but prefer to stay in a private room, then go to the sociable/party hostel to meet people. They have 24 hour reception so was super safe as a solo female traveller. Hot water, clean sheets, good wifi, complimentary bottle of water in the room and biscuits in the living room.
This was our first stay in Thailand and we were delighted with our room and the facilities. Being a hostel and such good price we didn’t expect much but the room was so lovely, clean and comfortable. Small bathroom but no different to most budget hostels/hotels. It was in a great location, 5 min walk to Kao San road and other attractions but far away enough so that it’s quiet at night. Great little restaurant at the start of the alley to the hostel called KC Homestay, delicious and cheap food.
