We stayed for 2 nights, we liked the location, right on the main street, but with windows at the back, so quiet in the evenings and mornings. The beach is at a few minutes walking distance. There is a big kitchen with all needed to prepare breakfast or a quick snack, there is also a room upstairs where you can dry and iron clothing. Friendly staff, they clean everyday the room.

The hostess was really sweet and nice even though we showed up at almost 11pm. She only speaks Portuguese but communication was OK nevertheless.
The room itself is big enough and the private bathroom spacious enough. The town is small and quiet and allows for a good night sleep.
We also had a nice breakfast at the small bar next door!
Located in Zambujeira do Mar, 300 metres from Zambujeira do Mar Beach, Hostel Nature features views of the city.

The staff was very friendly and informing upon arrival. Although the girl didn't speak English well, she made a good effort so we would understand each other. It's a small, family owned hostel and it was quiet at night. The bathroom is shared, but only with a few other guests, so it wasn't a problem for us. Also you can do laundry here, a big plus if you are hiking the fishermen trail! :) Totally recommend staying here!
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The room was very clean and included a spacious bathroom. The hostel is located near the city center, which is quite nice as there is lots to explore in Villa Nova (compared to the other small towns at Rota Vicentina). I'd definitely stay there again, what really stood out was the cheap price compared to accommodations in other towns.
One of the best hostel experiences. Really nice hot tub and public areas. the bed is comfortable and the curtains covers it well. I really like the locker close to the bed and the private light.
Fantastic place, superclean kitchen, bathroom and dorms.Normal beds.Very good, safety box with good lockers.Good rules at the hostel. Most visitors come for hikeing and recreation. The managers are very kind.Shops, coffee shops, all kind of resturangs close to the hostel.Asian, portuguise.Walking distance to the beach. 5-10 min.Bus stop is very close.
I was lucky to have found such a good hostel where I spent a very special New Years Eve night party in their company of the super-friendly owners, Celso, his wife and friends. The hostel has everything you need and also a safe space for a bicycle.
Thank you Pirata Hostel for a very nice stay and celebration which will live long in memory :)
