I felt kind of more at home instead of a hostel to be honest. The receptionist lady is a super super nice person!! she helped to figure out the best routes through the Tatra mointains, helped with information, was very helpful and interesting person. I had booked one night, then went to Tatras until the night and hadn't booked another night in advance. I left some of my stuff at the hostel while hiking. When returned, she let me sleep on the couch when all the rooms were full and all other hostels in Zakopane fully booked. In the morning i was allowed to sleep in a bed until the cleaning starts.
