Absolutely everything!! Great room which overlooked the Main Street — where we got the best sleep whilst in Japan. Kana-san (the wonderful hostess) made sure we felt at home straight from the off. Such a kind & thoughtful person. Helping us with somewhere to eat each night/detailed directions to place we wanted to visit — even writing us a note which would save us money at Yunessun (onsen) Would love to go back - when I finally get over the jet lag 😉 Highly recommend.
Nestled a 15-minute up-hill walk or a 4-minute bus ride away from Hakone Yumoto Station, Onsen Hostel K's House Hakone offers free WiFi throughout the entire property and an open-air hot-spring bath.

The location is great - very close to the train station and right across from the castle. There is a 7Eleven on the route from the station. The host provided a lot of communication ahead of time and seems very well organized. Although you have to use a code to get in the women's dorm initially, after that you use a key card which was very efficient. The little welcome notes on our bunks was a lovely touch. The women's dorm had a good layout and wasn't cramped. We really appreciated the lockable space under the beds for luggage. The sleeping bunks had a proper light (no loose cords like some places) and a shelf that could be collapsed. There is a sink and shower in the women's dorm which is nice (though I imagine it could be problematice if people shower late at night). There is one women's toilet directly outside the women's dorm as well as other toilets on each floor. All the washrooms were very clean. The lounge is on the top floor and has lovely views of the castle and park. There is complimentary tea, coffee and soup which was nice. The rooftop patio would be an awesome space in good weather! (we arrived at night and it was raining the next morning).

I really enjoyed my stay here and it was a wondeful way to meet fellow travellers. It's just a short walk from Odawara station and easily accessible. The staff are very friendly. I really enjoyed my stay here.
The showers were great!! The beds were also very comfortable! The bunk itself felt very spacious.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Have been staying in K house chain in Fujikawaguchiko as well. Probably the best hostel in the Japan through out my stay. Very clean & lot of social space
One of the best hostels I've ever been to - very new, clean and fully equipped. The capsules were surprisingly spacious and even had their own little window and AC. They serve a delicious and rich breakfast. Also the location was great - easy to walk from the station or to reach some onsen, yet quiet.
We have been traveling for 4 months, and this is the best hostel we have stayed at, by far. It’s clean, the beds are of really good quality, it’s nicely located, and the staff does everything they can to help you with whatever you need.
Room was spacious, price was great (we booked early), onsen facility is ok. They have big lounge and they also have toys for rent for free so my toddler loves it. Breakfast was good with a lot of options, we love the side dishes and enjoy having different types of pickles and side dishes with rice. There is budget restaurant close by in case you want to opt for cheaper options.
Everything! I loved it there. It's the best hostel with the best manager. Kana is an angel and made my time in Hakone unforgettable. We are friends now and I hope to see her again. The hostel is so well kept, clean and beautiful. I felt very comfortable. The dorm beds are extremely comfortable. The kitchen and common area are very nice. I did everything what Kana recommended and it was always a success. Thank you so much!
The best hostel I’ve ever stayed. The rooms were super clean and pretty. The common room and kitchen facilities are incredible with everything you need to cook and spend a relaxing time. Onsen was the best experience.
Great location off the main streets of hakone but still close to everything. Perfect for a budget stay while the generous double-bed capsule style rooms offer way more privacy than a typical hostel, which was great. The shared bathroom and kitchen was always clean and the staff were friendly.
The hostel is very nice and cozy. Is a dormitory but is a private double bed separated by a door from the other beds, like a bunk bed ( you can see what I mean from the pictures). The bed was super comfortable as well as the pillows ( 4 in total which I really appreciated). There is everything you need and you can get there easily from the train station, about 15 mins walking (the last 3 are a bit steep).
great location, cheap beer, very cute little cabins and loved that the hostel was so quiet and everyone was super respectful. wouldnt have even known there were others sleeping in the same room!
