I stayed at Mador hostel for one night only before going to the 3D2N waterfall/bromo/ijen tour (which I highly recommend to do with Mador hostel). The staff was super welcoming and the hostel was very nice and facilities were clean.

Everything: the host and her family are so kind and helpful! The dormitory was cosy and spacious (as couple, we had a double-bed in the dormitory). The hostel is attached to a orphanage managed by the kind host mentioned before. For a small donation we were invited for dinner by the host and the children. The food was excellent and the atmosphere very welcoming. It was so interesting to interact with the children. Thank you very much for the beautiful stay😊
The best hostel I ve ever stay! Hostel run by amazing family. Warm welcoming even tho I arrived almost at 4AM, the owner welcome me with smile, answer to all questions, help with finding things to do around, scooter, coffee, laundry, just everything. Delicious food.
Lovely family make this place special. I book with them also tour to the waterfall, Bromo and Ijen and got breakfast to go, and lunch when I come back 🥰 Thank you!
Very comfortable, good location (close to the train station), very clean, staff were friendly, one of the best hostels in Indonesia so far.
Good cafe with good options for breakfast or lunch
One of the cleanest hostels we have come across so far
Great location near the train station. Very easy to get well organized tour to Bromo with them and car to Tumpak Sewu. Clean and professional hostel. Comfortable and quite large beds with some having windows to the outside. Breakfast options were good. Laundry place within 1 block.
Perfectly located for visiting Malang (close to train station and points of interest). The people there are so nice and helpful (we got some coffee and fruits and long conversations 😃). Good cheap tours organized by Jon. Beds are confortable. They said i could keep my bed and have a nap until midnight (before Bromo) without paying the night. One large dormitory, but though it is on a passing road, i could sleep well (no noise issues). Decoration of common room is nice.
The hostel is spotless clean and you feel at home the minute you enter. We loved the design and the staff, everything is well organised. Join their morning run, it is soo much fun!!!
Good food, good internet, great location. The best hostel in Indonesia so far, loved it so much that it was hard to leave!
One of the best hostels I've ever been to. It is super clean, even in the dormitory has my privacy but can still connect super with others if you want. Above all, it is super cozy here so that you feel like home and already looking forward to sleep. The hostel owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped me incredibly when I could not writerreisrn because the bus did not come. They drove me to the bus station and supported me, which I would have had a hard time doing without them.

The hostel has a great location. It's close to the train station (you can walk), it's a quiet and safe location and there is a travel agency at the hostel so you can book a tour to Bromo and Ijen.
The dorm is spacious, the beds are very comfortable! The curtains provide privacy, you have a locker, you can put/hang your clothes and the bathrooms are very clean! The shower is hot and good!
You can order food and drinks and chill/talk with other travelers.
