Atlantic Palms, hotel in Cape Town

Atlantic Palms is a beautiful 13-room boutique hotel offering a private pathway with direct beach access.

The setting is exceptional. The property overlooks dunes and the sea, with a view of Cape Town and Table Mountain. From the pool area there is a path across the dunes to the beach with walking paths through the dunes or you can walk on the beach. There are a number of common spaces - lounge and fireplace with kitchenette shared between every 3-4 rooms which is a lovely touch.

Atholl House, hotel in Cape Town

Providing garden views, Atholl House is located in the Camps Bay district of Cape Town, 1 km from Camps Bay Beach and 1.3 km from Glen Beach.

Where do I start to sing the praises of this stay! Atholl House is the perfect stay for anyone who is visiting Cape Town for the first time and a little nervous about safety in South Africa. I was uncharacteristically nervous about safety before arriving in Cape Town. However, being greeted by William at the airport, a trusted driver for Atholl House and then arriving at the Atholl.... all my concerns melted away instantaneously. The accommodation is stunning, with large spacious rooms, modern fittings, lavish facilities and breath taking views. There was a delicious breakfast every morning with a diverse range of options and tasty omelette! Then you can't forget Ani, the star of the show! The hostess with the mostess. She went above and beyond to welcome us to Cape Town with so much warmth and love. She works with a lovely team, who keep the house in an impeccable state. She gave excellent advise to explore the city in a safe and comfortable way. My wife and I sincerely miss our morning chats with her, she is a master of the "small touches" which really elevated this guest house above the rest. She is a beautiful person inside and out! We cannot wait to revisit Atholl house again! Love, Dilan and Louise x

Cape Diem Lodge, hotel in Cape Town

Cape Diem Lodge is nesteld on the slopes of Signal Hill and within walking distance of Cape Town's V&A Waterfront, this stylish lodge combines authentic Victorian charm with luxury modern interiors.

The team here are excellent Bianca, Samuel, Bob and the ladies and gentlemen at breakfast and during the evening. It’s like a home and there is a nice relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast is good with cold and cooked options (or both). There is good communal space inside and outside to relax. The location is near the v and a a little uphill about 15 min walk, i think it’s best to Uber most places as it’s cheap and you won’t be waiting more than 2 mins for a taxi. The ideal location to do some day trips from and explore different parts of Cape Town as a base. They offer a glass or wine or drink early afternoon which is a nice touch before heading out for the evening. I would recommend to others.

Villa Coloniale Schumacher Luxury Retreat, hotel in Cape Town

Located in the heart of the Constantia Valley, Villa Coloniale is a 5-star guest house just 6 km from Groot Constantia Wine Estate. It features a salt-water swimming pool and lush garden.

Everything was more than we expected from a friendly welcome to a wonderful setting. Jo and Fabian are excellent hosts and we felt like we were staying with friends it was so relaxing. We also had to extend our stay due to a family matter and everyone was very kind and sympathetic to our situation. The breakfast was excellent and due to our extended stay the wonderful Jo even asked if we would like something different served in case we were tired of the set menu. During our stay my husband celebrated a birthday and we were gifted a bottle of Schumacher bubbly which we have brough home as a keepsake. We would definitely recommend Villa Coloniale Schmacher to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay in the Constantia area of Cape Town.

Fantastic guest house in a great location which is ideal for exploring the Cape. The hosts Michael and Jeanne are terrific and are extremely helpful with great local guidance. Breakfast was a real treat - most of the food is either local or home made (bread and yoghurt). Jeanne also bakes a 'treat of he day' which is always delicious. Our room (202) was excellent - large bedroom with a terrace facing the sea. The property is in a cul-de-sac and so it is very quiet. Highly Recommended

Loved our stay at the Tintagel Guest house. Big comfortable bedrooms, immaculately clean. Wonderful hosts, friendly and helpful, they happily arranged dinner reservations for us. Lovely breakfast, outside in the courtyard on good days, inside when it became windy. Secure off road parking. Great location, close to Kloof Street, Long Street and an easy drive or inexpensive taxi to all the main city centre attractions and the Table Mountain Cable Car station.

The guesthouse is warm, inviting and quite spacious. It hosts everything (amenities) you could possibly need for a trip away from home. The outside area was great for a morning cuppa and some quiet time, making for a peaceful transition into a busy day. In addition to the wonderful space, Trevor and Glenda were such great hosts, transparent and accommodating to our needs before and during our stay.

Lovely and well appointed establishment. Excellent location to city centre and surrounding attractions, while close to airport in terms of driving time. Corinne was an outstanding host and gave us the full run down of the accommodation and facilities and took us on a tour of the house and garden making us well acquainted with everything. House is large and spacious with plenty of space for privacy and decor very tasteful and elegant. Well maintained property. Quiet neighbourhood. Definitely will return when next in Cape Town.

Cheviot Place is a great place in a very quiet neighborhood. The house is very charming and you can walk to places like the Waterfront or Green Point Park. There are a large number of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. On the other hand, James is a great host and has given us many good tips for restaurants, excursions, etc. In summary, Cheviot Place is a highly recommended place to spend a few quiet days in Cape Town in a family atmosphere that makes you feel at home.

I stayed at 10 different guest houses during my trip in South Africa and Maartens Guesthouse is definitely my favourite! His warm personality, wicked sense of humour and attention to detail really makes us feel at home. He’s not only a great host but also a very kind friend. Thank you for having us!

Great location in a quiet area, ideal for the airport, city and other destinations. Very relaxed, non-pretentious guest house. Excellent cooked breakfast, the 'kitchen sink' omelette is specially recommended. Kevin and Hermann were very welcoming and great hosts.
