This was a fantastic find in Chiang Mai. A bit of an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff were very kind and helped us to feel welcome -- one staff member in particular noticed that my kids were excited about the koi and invited them to help feed the fish on multiple occasions. The pool was warm and inviting. The food was good. The rooms were stunning and everything was very clean and well-kept. We were very sad to leave!

Located among Thailand’s highest mountains, Chiang Mai is the beloved, idyllic and somewhat mystic capital of the North. Offering more than 300 temples, it is considered one of the most important cultural centres in the country.
Despite being Thailand's fifth-largest city, Chiang Mai still keeps a relaxed and laidback feel. Modernity, trendy shops and boutique hotels haven’t altered much of its picturesque and peaceful atmosphere.
This reputation is partly due to its proximity to mountains and lush green areas, like Doi Suthep Mountain and its panoramic Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep temple. The Doi Inthanon National Park is 60 km away and comprises Thailand’s highest mountain.
Hotels in Chiang Mai’s old city centre are a popular choice, offering a more picturesque experience, with its moat and older temples. Chiang Mai hotels can also be found around the Chang Klhan Rd, where the famous Night Bazaar takes place.
The city’s nightlife runs along the Loi Kroh Rd, while Ratchadamneon Rd hosts the main Sunday night pedestrian market. Don’t forget to buy an umbrella from Bo Sang and eat a bowl of kao soi.
Whether you arrive at Chiang Mai International Airport or come by land from Bangkok, don’t miss 'The Rose of the North' deals on Booking.com!

We travelled as a family with two young boys and really enjoyed our stay in Chiang Mai. The kids loved the markets and there were plenty of activities to do outside of the city. The pool at the hotel was a must, as we all spent plenty of time cooling down after activities in the pool. We found it very easy to get around the city using the Grab app. The train up from Bangkok was also a hit!

A lot of great temples with beautiful scenery and nature.
A lot of great temples with beautiful scenery and nature. Some great malls and a fun little cat cafe called Mail Cat Cafe. A lot of waterfalls which is nice, although the prices on entry fees for foreigners did seem somewhat unjustified at times, given that Thai nationals can either attend landmarks/nature locations at either insanely cheap prices while foreigners pay 5 or 6 times that. I understand the necessity but at times it was pretty obvious that it was borderline extortion.

It was a wonderful experience.
It was a wonderful experience. Plenty of things to do, day & night. The people were very friendly, and respectful. We normally do not go with a tour guide, but both our tour guides were so informative and had great personalities. We booked a 2 hour walking tour of Chiang Mai and the elephant sanctuary. What a wonderful experience. Overall, it was a great trip and highly recommend to visit this city.

Walkable city, with many day trips to be had for everyone's taste! Visit an elephant sanctuary (do not RIDE them or go to shows that make them do stupid stuff! ) Don't visit snake farms or Tiger farms, those animals are only used for business and their overall well being is questionable. Food in Northern Thailand is quite different from the South, lots of pork dishes (yum). They also have vegetarian dishes everywhere. Massages are more expensive here than in Bangkok. Food is reasonabley priced. You can find accomodation for any budget. The temples are amazing!!!! LOVE CHIANG MAI!!! Definitely worth a visit!!!

Beautiful place. So easy to get around in a tuk tuk or taxi.
Beautiful place. So easy to get around in a tuk tuk or taxi. Drivers happy to be hired for the day, very cheap. Beautioful temples and great street food. Plenty of attractions both in the town and in the surrounding areas. Mrkets were great places to eat out. So many experiences we just couldn't fit into 4 days.
We spent wonderful time at hotel! The gerneral manager wrote a greeting message for us and I am very impressed that he/she also wrote some welcoming words in Japanese!
We also enjoyed complementary massage and afternoon tea on arrival date and had variety of daily breakfast. When I asked female staff how to use Grab app at lobby, she taught me very kindly.
Its hotel is located in old city, it is very easy to access famous temple and massage place.
The hotel is a beautiful boutique Thai style hotel which I love, with a beautiful garden and lovely antique nicnac's all around. The staff are very friendly and lovely. The pool is fantastic, breakfast ample, laundry very efficient and reasonable. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the old city. Plenty of cafe's and restaurants within walking distance. This was our 4th stay here.
The Vieng Mantra is a cute boutique hotel in the old city. The location is the best, close to the Sunday Walking Street and to PhaeTae Gate. I've stayed here on two trips now and plan to again the next time I travel to Chiang Mai. I was surprised at how well maintained it was after closure from the pandemic. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The price is very good value.
The hotel is a very chill space, with a very welcoming and caring owner. Our room was spacious and clean, facing away from the street which made it a very pleasant stay. The furniture was fine as well. Can only recommend it if you don't want to stay in the old city. Price was good as well
Near to old city area, many klook tours able to pick up directly at the hotel.
Nearby to 7-11 and many FnB + nightlife
Staff was welcoming and friendly, able to convo in English
