The location is quite good (a few subway stops from everything in Manhattan), and this is the main advantage of it. The wifi was strong. There were no major problems.

Central Park was a huge disappointment - with none restrooms in sight, it was a stinking park with dirty ponds and weed lawns. The smell of cannabis in Times square was so bad, one wants to vomit. I was never worried about global warming and polution - untill my visit to New York. I have never seen so much polution in my life! Taxes are very high comparing to other states such as Maine.

Very busy.
Very busy. Stayed in Time Square & on Friday night you were shoulder to shoulder getting around.
We brought kids & it's just a lot & keeping up with them, crazy drivers & the homeless people just laying around. Definitely an experience.
Drinks & food are really expensive, but if you go to Little Italy... Get a Peach Bellini they are wonderful.

Took my son for a long weekend, his first time in NYC.
Took my son for a long weekend, his first time in NYC. We covered a lot of ground and saw/did a lot in the 2.5 days we were in town. The Village (Blue Man Group), the Battery (SOL & the park), lower Manhattan (WTC Memorial), Central Park Zoo, AMNH, ESB, Intrepid. He had a good time, rode the subways and busses like a native. And for July, the heat/humidity wasn't too too horrible. Lines/crowds were actually pretty light at the attractions we visited.
We brought groceries and ate very few meals out (our room had a kitchen), which saved a ton of money. We did get some NY pizza slices from one the many great pizza spots that are ubiquitous, and I got a great bagel and schmear from a hole-in-the-wall around the corner. I was going to do Katz' deli for my traditional pastrami sandwich, but the line was 90 min. Yeah, it's good, but not 90-min-wait good.
Cons:
Times Square is still a s@$#hole. A big, gaudy, neon, commercial cesspool clogged with gawking, pot-vaping, overweight/obese rubes. We avoided it as much as possible, only catching the subway here and there when there was no other choice.
Piles of trash everywhere, and human waste on the sidewalks is not uncommon.
The city (in general) smells like a**, especially when you are in the heart of it surrounded by concrete.
Location is excellent, right in midtown manhattan, easy access to all the sights and areas of NYC. The room is small, but so are all the rooms in NYC really, the bed is huge and very comfortable and that is all you need when visiting this city. We didn't have any issues with space. Having travelled in various areas of the world and stayed in some luxurious accommodation, this place is perfectly acceptable for new york. Safe, comfortable, warm, convenient, cheap.
Very nice hotel in a great location, just a few minutes walk from times square. We were also given complimentary cocktails when we checked in. Room was compact but very nice and a good view of the city. We also went to the rooftop bar which had delicious drinks and an amazing view of Manhattan
Excellent location, close enough to Times Square and Subway to reach all parts of Manhattan. Hotel room was very comfortable and clean with an excellent Bar/Restaurant, all the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would use this hotel again if staying in New York.
Couldn't ask for a better location bang in the middle of Manhattan and for a reasonable price too. Situated between multiple subway stations, places to eat and Times Square just around the corner. This was perfect for a first time traveller to New York.
The best thing about the hotel is the location. just a few blocks from Times Square, which makes it possible to visit Manhattan's main attractions on foot or by public transport. polite and helpful staff, helping whenever asked.
