I couldn’t wait to leave before writing this review, this is by far my worst stay in any hotel, starting from the breakfast which was spanish omelet, it was greasy and burnt, the bread tasted like stale napkins. On the 27th there was a full black out in the hotel from morning till 9pm, no internet, no power, no water to flush the toilets or shower, I asked to speak to the manager on several occasions but the staff had already been warned not to call the manager and had a lackadaisical attitude in providing any sort of solution, we were left in the dark with no regard, no apology, no concern, even the next day no one came forward to give any sort of apology or explanation as to what went on, both the staff and the management don’t care about their guests. If you want to have the worst vacation then by all means book this hotel. The photos looks so different from the actual hotel.

Simply and beautifully decorated, rooms were sufficiently large and comfortable, and you can see the water from almost everywhere on the property. The AC worked perfectly. The grounds are meticulously maintained, the pool was very clean, and you have direct beach access. The food was just ok, but the overall ambiance in the restaurant was very pleasant and the service was very professional--the bartender also prepared good cocktails. The beach is typical of the eastern side of Zanzibar, with significant tides, but beautiful nonetheless. It's a quiet part of the island so there isn't much to do within walking distance, but this was a plus since it meant zero crowds.

I ordered sometimes dinner or snacks from the hotel restaurant and it was very tasty and satisfying. Everything is made from the scratch in the kitchen. The breakfast was very delicious. And the staff was all top people. I got very good service. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and honestly this experience was my best. To wake up on the beach with amazing views and great staff in an excellent location. Everything was perfect. Thank you all so much.

The staff is really great, we felt as at home.
The location is still authentic and in a peaceful part of the coast, not surrounded by big hotels or noisy beach activities. Paje village is at 30min walking on the beach. The rooms are simple but nice and very functional.
