I think its a great option, as long as you remember this is a camping site and not a 4-5 start hotel. We stayed in a cabin (bungalow), which was relatively small but had all the conveniences available. A great kids playground was nearby. Plenty of grocery shopping around. Great outside terrace.

It's been second year in a row that we have decided to stay at Fugelvågen for couple days during our Norwegian roadtrip.
The camping is located in a calm and beautiful place, just by the water. It's not a big place, even though it can get crowded with RVs on the peninsula during a weekend (but I cannot blame anyone for staying here!).
We stayed in cabin number 4 this year and it was really nice and comfortable stay. The cabin is furnished in a moder style and has a right size for a family of 3.
Decent fridge, well equipped kitchen including an oven(!) and double bed oriented towards the window, which makes the mornings absolutely amazing due to the view from the window.
And of course watching sunsets from the porch/terrace makes this place quite special.
Overnatting Rodal offers accommodation in Valsøybotn. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The bed and breakfast has family rooms.
