Casa Lu was outstanding accommodation...perfect location, luxurious, beautiful pool, right at the edge of the beach and a very short walk to the local town centre. All of the staff were simply amazing, reception and outstanding room service. We could charge all food and beverages from the adjacent bar (excellent cuisine and cocktails) to our room and pay in full on departure. Casa Lu was able to arrange fantastic massage therapists for us in the room/patio.

Very central location, large room, good AC, pretty decent shower. Lots of shops and restaurants around, 10 mins walk to the beach. The whole design looks nicer in pictures than in reality but is a pleasant touch. Early check in was a bonus. Good wifi.

Nicely decorated, moscito net around the bed and on the walls around, territory is safe - there is a code lock on the gates and there is a code box for the key on the door of the room - super convenient so you don't loose the key or both people staying teh room don't have to coordinate on the key.

It was a lovely escape. As soon as we arrived we didn't leave. We stayed in an incredible room with it's own pool. The service was possibly the best I've ever experienced. The service was the stand-out take away for me... and that's saying something, because the room was exceptional.

The staff were absolutely great. We arrived in a torrential rain, which was quite unexpected for the area. Nonetheless the young man who checked us in rolled up his sleeves and helped us slog through the water to our room with vast amounts of baggage. We were staying the week and had brought a full size cooler to supplement our meals, as otherwise we would have had to go out for everything we desired to eat or drink, except water. He stepped up again after the rain had made deep furrows in the road, making it difficult to drive. He suggested we park at the top of the hill at a sister property until it was clear there would not be a complete washout while we were there! And again we were assisted when we checked out a week later, stopped for another bag of ice for our cooler, and our car electronics went haywire. Eventually everything shut down, this in a town without a mechanic... We contacted the property to ask if they could suggest a tow truck option to the nearest large town 45 minutes away, but instead they sent out one of the administrators. He checked our battery, it was nearly dead. He provided a charge, the electronics returned to normal, and we were on our way. Really above and beyond expectations!
The location was fantastic, right on Mermejita Beach and easily walkable to two other beaches nearby, Our room looked across a small garden directly onto the surf. We could also sit on an elevated terrace directly overlooking the beach where we could watch the evening surfers, and sunsets. The pool was pristine and very welcome in the heat and humidity. I do not know how we could have withstood the heat had we not had that pool available to cool ourselves down.
Our room was large and attractive. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We mostly just used the ceiling fan, but a few times when we turned on the a/c it cooled quickly, quietly, and efficiently.
A restaurant is onsite, available all day, except on Friday.

We loved the King-sized bed, and nice pillows. Many places do not have those. The stairs down to the veach was a long trek, so we drive to the beach. A newer made hand rail is essential to replace. And it seemed the photo of the swimming pool made it look longer, and it was ‘t.
I loved the small refreshing pool.
There were many nice features at the Posada, but we were disappointed in the stairs and lack of a hand rail. The price was the best!

Mazunte is the perfect combo of comfort and nature.
Mazunte is the perfect combo of comfort and nature. It’s very small but lively with shops and restaurants and the atmosphere remains quite and friendly. For even more tranquility I recommend spending the days on the beach at San Angustinillo, and heading back in town for dinner. Temazcal ceremonies at Kakao Kali are a must try if you’re on a healing journey. I was also happy to take a boat ride to see the dolphins and sea turtles.

This is a hip vibe place to be.
This is a hip vibe place to be. The busy streets, the beach goers. The constant revelry. This place is a Pueblo Magico so it has a standard that was met. Pueblo Magico towns offer an experience that is reflective in the most part to that area of Mexico. This town did not disappoint, but go down the road to Zipolite, and you will understand that the conformity of Mazunte, is pleasing to the eye and walk able (somewhat). The area's that seem pedestrian for the visitors are often used as service roads for vehicle traffic, and if you are from North of America, pediatricians have the right away. Not the case here, the car, or motorbike is king, stay to the side, and don't get lost in the karma of the place, because someone will be down your back in no time. Be careful.

Loved Mazunte by the beach!
Loved Mazunte by the beach! The beach area hotels are much quieter than the ones by the main road.
Good food is plentiful and easy to find.
Everyone gathers at the beach to watch the sunset!
Word of warning; come with pesos because ATM machines often run out of cash or are not working. Learned this the hard way.

We love this quaint little beach town.
We love this quaint little beach town. You are living each day with and like the locals. Grab some fresh fruit, local coffee, and local pastry treat and hang out on Main Street with the locals and enjoy the atmosphere.
The beaches are beautiful and not crowded although the current is quite strong in some areas. 2 beaches just 5 minutes away or another maybe 10 minute walk. Greet the spectacular sunrise each morning on the beach with sun salutations, yoga, jogging, swimming or enjoy a short boat ride to see whales, dolphins, turtles and msntarays. Sport fishing is available too,

Small beach town with not much going on besides beach,...
Small beach town with not much going on besides beach, tourist clothing shops and dining options. The ocean is beautiful but a bit rough at the time we visited in early November. You can rent an umbrella to have shade. There appeared to be a little night life on a few small roads leading to the beach but we didn’t go there for that so I can’t speak from experience.
The owners are nice people. They let me change rooms to a quieter one. If your room is not right on the street it may be one of the quieter places in Mazunte. Collectivo to San Augustinillo beach - or walk, it's not far. Zipolite is a big "scene" about five minutes further by collectivo. Some organic foods available next to the internet shop, both two minutes walk from Cabanas Abril. Laundry service is also close. There's a turtle rescue operation in town, too.

very quiet and peaceful, and beautiful.
I just loved my stay. Adrian is fast to respond, changed my faucet immediately and was super helpful and friendly. The place is excellent. I will come again on ny next trip back for sure.
Thanks so much for the warm hospitality!
Albert, the owner, was extremely helpful and kind and told us lots about Mexico. The pool is a lovely addition for the heat and offers spots for shade and sunbeds. The rooms keep cool with fans or aircon. The communal outdoor kitchen was great and very well equipped, we even made smoothies. We spent a week here and felt very at home and were sad to leave!
Location to Mazunte and other town beaches were great and walkable.
Room was great.
Free bottle of wine and ice as our honeymoon.
Quiet at nighttime. We were worried of a new bar opening being loud, but it was fine after 10.30.
