Location is just perfect. Close to couple of departments (right across the street-!!) and dotonbori street is just 10 minutes walking distance. The hotel is clean and staffs are amazingly kind. At the meeting point of river and sea, huge Osaka combines forward-thinking development and sure-footed tradition. This is symbolised in its temple-like, 16th century castle, guarded by ramparts and enlivened by vibrant spring cherry blossom. Dominating the surrounding skyline is Osaka Business Park, a reminder of the city’s strong role in the Japanese economy.
However, the most striking skyscraper is the Umeda Sky Building - 2 towers connected by a rooftop terrace offering far-reaching views. The nearby Osaka and Umeda train stations are linked by underground shopping centres, while the shops of Shinsaibashi’s America Village appeal to a younger crowd. Dōtonbori’s neon lights promote more shops, as well as restaurants considered the best in Osaka. In a city touted as Japan’s culinary capital, that’s quite an accolade.
The Tsūtenkaku tower overlooks Tennōji Park, home of the Osaka Municipal Museum of Art. Another nearby park houses Shitennō-ji, one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples.
The Kyocera Dome Osaka is a shrine of baseball, and more thrills are at waterfront Universal Studios Japan, the country’s 2nd largest theme park. Also by the sea is Kansai International Airport, on its own artificial island.
The capsule hotel was invented in Osaka, and alongside this type of accommodation, Booking.com also offers luxury hotels with pools, cheap hostels and traditional ryokans.
So much to do! The food was amazing and we especially enjoyed the Osaka Aquarium. We were able to take a day trip to Nara with ease which was magical, and once you figured out the fares the subway system was so convenient.

i can't explain it but the vibe of the city is so nice?
i can't explain it but the vibe of the city is so nice? i went from tokyo to kyoto to osaka, and osaka really did it for me.
i went to dotonbori, which i think is the main attraction in the city. i also went to the castle, the inside being a museum about the emperor who built it, really worth a visit.
i also spent a bit of time in shinsekai, though most of the stores were closed despite going at 11am :I
and of course, the infamous universal studios, i recommend taking a fast-line pass or however it's called, cause as good as the attractions are and as awesome as the park is, staying a whole day and spending half of it in the queue isn't the best way to go at it.
overall, though there are not much overly touristy things to see, i think it's a very nice place to be and i'd recommend a five-day stay!

I found Osaka to be pretty overratted but that is really just a personal opinion as I hate really busy crowds, when in Japan, I usually go to places that are less touristy so you can experierince the beauty of Japan. The running man attraction was kinda lacklustre and the shopping malls were not that exciting. However take a train to Nara or take the train and jump off at a less known station and just walk around and see how pretty it is. But yeah, if you are into anime, DenDen town is kinda like a copy of Akihabara, but not quite as good but still has a lot of anime at pretty good prices. In Denden town you also have the maid cafes and a few good places to eat that wont break your budget. Its not as busy as the Shinsaibashi end of Osaka. Denden town is not far from the Namba Subway station either. Take the quite side streets and you get to experience a more japanese experience other than a tourist mecca one. Mind you if you want to go to Universal Studios you will love Osaka. hahaha. Osaka Castle was pretty cool and its a little walk from the station so if its summer remember to take a drink with you and stay hydrated as the humidity is a reall high.

I wish we could have stayed much longer since we really liked our stay at the property. The place is quiet and there's Family Mart right across the property. The nearest local train station is just a 2 to 3-minute walk away with Lawson on the other side of the road.
Great hotel. We came back three time during our stay in Japan and used this hotel as our base in Osaka. Room is small like most Japanese hotels but very clean and comfortable. Staff were great. Its very close to the subway station so easy to get around on the trains. Plenty of convienience stores around and some great restaurants as well. The area is very clean and quite. They have washing machines on the 6th floor which we found very convenient. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here.
The location was great with a convenient store right round the corner. There were also restaurants around the area. The beds were comfy and we had a good rest at FL Dotonbori. It is also just right next to the Kinentsu Nippombashi station which is 1 stop away from Namba, and also walking distance to shinsabashi. They had breakfast available every morning which took the stress of finding a breakfast location away. Would definitely book this hotel again when i'm back at Osaka.
Central location in Shinsaibashi near Dontonburi and other main Osaka sights, clean, modern and very spacious compared to normal standard Japanese hotels. Great facilities and amenities with bilingual staff. Beds are more comfier than the majority of hotels stayed at within main CBDs. Worth the $$
