We had a great evening at the Christian Conference at the Pendulum Hotel,
However the World of Manchester was completely contrasting to what we experienced earlier in the evening.
We took a quick Trip to McDonalds before deciding to drive home as there's no place like home-Right? 🙂
Ive heard from 2 Friends who said Manacunians 'dont like big cars', well suffice to say when we departed from the motorway up North we were met rudely with lads swearing at us+ then later following us AND one of their Mates cars overtook us, parked- but we could get out + 'danced in a swaying fashion' in FRONT of my car. We werent having any of it+ had no choice but to call Police. Went to Mum's nearby-she was woken in the night- bless her! +Police told the Lads to go then was all Dealt with. We were NOT impressed with the way the Police didnt question the lads+ find out in depth what they were trying to do.
Yet they protected US, which was satisfactory.
I dont think this has any relation to Manchester but certainly puts some 'idea' of a travelling back from the City poor.

Breakfast was shocking, no hot food available, advised still in the oven cooking, no orange juice, very little fresh fruit.

Manchester is of no significance - Oldham is really Lancashire in spirit.
Local Government should be re-organised and the stupid county of Greater Manchester abolished and the local towns returned to Lancashire.

Wonderful free bus that took us round the city.
Wasn't so keen on the.mishmash of buildings...there seemed to have been no specific building planning for the city.
A high-rise block right behind a perfectly preserved row of 19th century buildings which sticks out like a sore thumb...
I thought it was excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The room was of adequate size & had a good view over Salford. The shower was one of the best I've had in a hotel & it was good to have a separate shower. The breakfast was good for a budget hotel with a fair amount of choice. The hotel was close to the tram taking you into Manchester City centre or to Media City.
The hotel is in a great location to get around the manchester city centre area, great secure parking for starters. The room was superb, and we likened it to many of the great Middle Eastern and Asian hotels we've stayed in. Great in room facilities, clean and quiet!
We stayed when the hotel was new so we were already familiar with the location on the edge of Manchester City Centre. The checkin process was quick and friendly but that’s the only real positive thing I can say.
Great, central location that is handy for everywhere in Manchester City centre. The hotel itself is smartly presented. The bedroom was large, HUGE bed and great air con!
