Had a lovely stay at St. Giles London Hotel, the hotel looked lovely from the outside and it was clean/litter free at the entrance. Felt a bit nervous when booking in, would of like the receptionist explain to me what they were doing as it did take her a while and I was getting worried that I might have done it wrong. The room was clean and spacious enough for our needs. The location is perfect for doing the tourist type of things you would like to do, everything was in walking distance. I went with my sister who came from Cape Town South Africa and we both had a lovely stay. It was nice that we could come back and pop into the restaurant, which might I add, had lovely food, to have something to eat. Really enjoyed my stay at St. Giles and would definitely stay there if I should ever travel to London again.

3 days isn't enough. So, just enjoy bits of it if it's just a short stay but if you can, stay for atleast a week. I travelled alone last month and planning to come back with my daughter to enjoy more of London. 🥰
I did the typical touristy thing (hop on hop off) just for a glimpse of the city but the traffic is the worst. I guess it's better to take the undergound train next time. People in the city are mostly friendly and helpful too. I am Norwegian with Asian roots and they are indeed very nice to tourists.

The concierge was extremely helpful in directing us and suggestions placed to dine and visit. He was so friendly in offering ideas and we discovered how accurate he was. He deserves special recognition. We know that others , too, were availing themselves of his knowledge and advice. Thank you for providing access to his valuable resources.

This was my third time in London and this time I went to see specifically one thing. But overall I would have to say there is something for everyone in London, several somethings in fact. It is not all history nor is it not all royalty although for these two things it doesn’t get any better than in London. From science to culture, old to new, music to manuscripts
London has it all. Getting around the city is not difficult at all. The diversity of food is amazing. London is still affordable especially compared to the rest of Europe.

London is always a nice place.
London is always a nice place. The only downside that is already out there is the raise of phones being stolen on the streets by bikers or others.
They ate steeling phones even inside the stores when you are distracted paying or seeing stuff. Big stores that are filled with people are also one of the places these crimes are taking place. Wemen are specifically targeted and by other wemen, they push and are on top of others like watching the same merchandise or in line when paying when they are actually picking bags to steel phones.
So watch out because this is becoming a serious security problem in London.
I’ve been staying in cheap hotels part of the week for work since moving out of London about a year ago and have stayed in some ok places and some real dives (Not looking at you Forest Gate Hotel…) The Amhurst is easily the best of the lot so far. It was super clean, the owner was really friendly and it was generally cozy. Top marks. Bonus tip: ten minute walk away is a chip van that does the best fish and chips in London! (Find it on Google Maps)
We always stay in this hotel when we are in London and the experience has always been excellent - the location is perfect, the rooms/apartments are beautiful and comfortable, the staff is polite and helpful, the breakfast and the room service are very good and also we enjoy very much the Espressamente.
Have stayed here several times as very convenient for office. As with many London hotel room in this price bracket the room was small but had all the essentials.
Breakfast choice is excellent and good value.
