Between Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales, Leeds is a stately city with a wealth of impressive Georgian and Victorian buildings. The most celebrated is the town hall, a Grade I-listed gem with a huge clock tower supported by columns. Just around the corner is the understated Leeds Cathedral, and between the two is Millennium Square, a large urban space that plays host to outdoor concerts and a German Christmas market.
Shopping in Leeds is fantastic. Kirkgate Market is Europe’s largest covered market, and the magnificent, round Corn Exchange is home to exclusive boutiques. The city also has the first Harvey Nichols outside of London, as well as the usual high street brands.
As home to 2 large universities, Leeds has a young and vibrant vibe. It has repeatedly been voted the clubbing capital of the UK and is home to the Leeds Festival, an annual music event that attracts thousands.
The city also has excellent sporting pedigree. Internationals are held at Headingley cricket ground, and Leeds United FC and the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team are well-known names in their fields.
On the outskirts of the city are wonderful Roundhay Park, Kirkstall Abbey and Leeds-Bradford International Airport. Leeds accommodation on Booking.com covers all areas of this elegant city.

I know Leeds very well and this visit was just a one night stay en-route to somewhere else - needed to catch an early coach. Leeds is a vibrant city with excellent nightlife and I always feel safe when out in the evening - though tend not to be out after midnight. Great shopping during the day and plenty of theatre, food, bars to keep you entertained in the evening.
Unfortunately the Coach / Bus Station is a long way from the Train Station and transport between the two is not great. Leeds desperately needs a tram system. The centre is reasonably flat though so for most walking is not a problem.

I stayed for one night to to go see Girls Aloud at the First Direct Arena, but had some time to look around the shopping areas before I had to check into my hotel, Ibis Style City Centre. Hotel was perfectly placed as literally round corner from Arena and just a short walk into the city centre.
I’d like to highlight (what I think is the Leeds’ Radisson’s USP) to other guests… the car park is so close that you don’t even have to go outside! I wanted a hotel in Leeds city centre with a nearby car park - having been mis-led by another hotel on my last visit. The hotel is part of a complex with cinema, restaurants etc but I was able to pre-book a discounted parking space there beforehand. I’m surprised this isn’t advertised more clearly!
Great location for Leeds City Centre, close to the railway station and all amenities. Friendly helpful staff and clean comfortable rooms. No parking on site, so if driving add £15 to your expected costs for nearby overnight parking. All you might expect from a chain type hotel in quality terms, but bathroom decor starting to look a bit tired.
Good location for the hotel in what would useually be a quiet residential area. Free onsite parking. Only 10 minutes by car from Leeds City Centre and with shops, pubs, and park within walking distance. Warm room. Good size window. Ensuite shower, kettle and good size TV. Reasonable value.
Nice quiet location, 10 minutes walk to Leeds City centre. Good bus route and stops right outside the hotel. The host was very friendly upon arrival, explained how to use the door. Just an all round good hotel, will stay there again.
Had its own character & charm, because it wasn't modern and bland ... like many hotels and hotel rooms can be. Room service was good - and chicken green Thai curry was excellent. Great location, in the heart of Leeds City Centre.
