Very nice, traditional French Hostellerie in a quiet, pretty town. Rooms are clean and spacious. Decent Wi-Fi and air con and a very nice breakfast. Plenty of parking around. The owners are lovely and very helpful. It has a relaxed feel to it and is a great place to stop over for a few days.
Hotel Les Thermes is located less than 60 km from both Royan and Angoulême. It offers free Wi-Fi and shuttle service to the thermal baths situated 1.5 km away in Jonzac.

Jonzac is a delightful small town and two nights was enough time for us as a visit. That said we did not travel outside the town as I was gently recovering from two days of serious driving before moving on to our holiday villa with the family.

Perfect location. 3 min.'s walk to the market, 3 times weekly, Fridays the biggest. Healthstore just as close.
2 highly recommendable restaurants within 5 minutes walk , le Comptoir du Marche and Creperie Rozell, not the other crep.
6 to 7 minutes walk to a very nice park with lake and great biodiversity.
Also good facilities in the flat for cooking.
The Coq D'Or is very conveniently central. A pleasant old (1908) building with good sized rooms and restaurant downstairs. No parking available other than in the street - OK out of season, likely to be challenging in summer. The room, bed, bathroom were all good and the staff helpful and pleasant. Jonzac itself didn't have much to offer in mid December, with many places closed, such that the hotel restaurant seemed to be the only available choice for dinner.
I am amazed that this property got on your website. The photos were so deceptive. The stairs was at an angle that made it perilous to climb. The first bedroom was at the top of the stairs, no door, one crossed the first bedroom to get to the second bedroom. The first bedroom had no windows or ventilation.
I went and booked into a hotel. Please vet the properties before you let them on your site
Rodolphe was a fantastic host, made us feel really welcome and had some great recommendations for where to go in Jonzac (his good English spared us the blushes of using our poor French!). Room was well sized and has everything you need, bathroom was very clean, would recommend Hotel Les Thermes for anyone visiting Jonzac
The staff was amazing. Specially the young lady on the reception was outstanding.
Jonzac is a small, almost sleeping village with great history and not far from Cognac.
Charging station for EV and Phev cars
An excellent find an easy walk to Jonzac centre. Compact but very well presented. Convenient parking. All at a remarkably reasonable price. We spent a delightful two days there. Highly recommended!
