The breakfast was outstanding, so many options, even at the busiest times it was possible to get your food. We had a room for 5 (3 kids, 2 adults), and it was very spacious. The piano was played several times during our stay, which made for a great atmosphere. There are a couple of nice little gift shops. The kids were allowed in the spa, and that was a super nice experience for them. The beds are comfy.

Hotel is centrally located. The old square was within walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast each morning provided a variety of delicious options. Pastries were freshly baked and delicious. Also, staff in the breakfast room were very attentive and helpful. In general, we found the staff courteous and responsive. The beds were comfortable and the mini bar in the room was well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

I looooved the location, the interior design, breakfast was out of this world, beds and pillows just perfect. The shower gel, conditioner, soap and hand cream (yes, they had all of that) are fabulous! The tram is just across the hotel and takes you downtown (or 2 stops away to Prague castle if you don't want to go in foot). The staff is very sweet and helpful. The variety and quality of food for breakfast is just unbelievable. We did not have time to check out the swimming pool due to sightseeing. Parking is 350 CZK per day and it is big enough.

First of all, before the booking I have some concerns regarding to location due to distance to city center but it was so close to the tram station, not even 150m and public transportation was so cheap and easy.
Hotel was new and clean, bed and pillows were comfortable and staff was so kind during the our stay. Parking area was big enough and finally breakfast was the best I have ever seen in Europe.

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale façade of this Bohemian city intact.
Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.
Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.
The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Prague is an amazing city, so beautiful!! The old town is very romantic, all sights are at walking distance, the architecture is well preserved and there is a lot of nice places to drink and eat. Highly recommendable!

I lived here four years, where the last two were in prague.
I lived here four years, where the last two were in prague.
The city can offer the most wide opportunities and sightseeing but be prepared to walk and commute a lot with good shoes.
Fairly good exchange rates even if its not so cheaper compared to the last years, people are nicer and quite. Bus tickets are "cheap" (nothing compared to rome or milan, really: 90 minutes ticket for something like 1.70 is a steal).
I suggest to plan the various visits in more days as you can risk to visit it in a day (half a day to be precise). Summer is fairly hot but bearable, winter is more colder during november-january. Youn will love it.
I suggest you also the beer drank in hospoda or typical czech pubs. I avoid the city center to do it as they are expensive as hell. Doing grocery is a great solution.
Also, safety-wise, you can walk around at night with no issues. And night buses are present until 5am (metro is closed from 2am).
Enjoy the stay. I did it while ago and here i keep memories that will last forever.

It is a great city, like an open museum.
It is a great city, like an open museum. However, it used to be a city with normal prices, now everything is much more expensive. Even little souvenir magnets and soda drinks cost more than in London.

It was a fine city. Easy to get around. Plenty to see and do. Wear comfy shoes, it is not a place for high heels. People were very helpful.
We found a lovely gluten free only restaurant and another called Blatnice. Very helpful with dietary needs.
We were on and off trams, some lovely parks apart from the special places, castle and churches.

Amazing city, so much history and culture to explore.
Amazing city, so much history and culture to explore. We stayed four nights and were able to explore in detail, I would say. You can also do most things in three nights, but four gives you a bit more flexibility.
Most things are easily walkable which we enjoyed as well. The airport is a little outside, but public transport is frequent, reliable and cheap.
It's very touristy by now (which is understandable with so much to explore), which means they are mostly tourist shops everywhere trying to sell you souvenirs, especially in the most central locations. This takes a little bit away from the atmosphere which is otherwise amazing.
Also you have to pay for everything, even entering most churches or using a public restroom, which often requires some cash.
Cheap alcohol also attracts a certain kind of tourists, e. g. we saw quite a few bachelor parties.
It was a really nice, clean, and modern room with a lot of storage and TV. Our window overlooked the back of the hotel so it was really quiet. The little kitchen was well-equipped, with a fridge although we didn't have the chance to try it. The bathroom was large and clean. Overall it had all the essentials for a nice stay, wish we could have stayed longer. The location is good, just a few minutes to the Andel Metro Station which can get you to the Old Town Square and the main attractions.
Perfect service, very kind personal, very central position. View on the most iconic building in Prague. I have to mention Jana and Anastasiia. They are absolutely professional and very kind. At the end we got a voucher , coffee and souvenir. Who does this to you nowadays ok Praga? And don’t forget the price. It’s amazing. We will definitely return here and spend some nice moments. Keep doing in this way! Josephine Old Town Square Hotel is an example for all the hotels in Praha. Cheers!
Everything! Our room (43) was beautiful and so comfortable. We had a lovely view of the church from our room. We had everything we needed, and more even an umbrella! Staff, especially Tom, were so helpful and welcoming. Breakfast catered for everyone. Very nice complimentary (proper) coffee at reception.
The location is fantastic, easy walk to Old Town Square.
We will be recommending Hotel Hastal to anyone we know who is planning a trip to Prague.
The location is great, you can walk Old Town Square from the hotel. The room is quite large and clean. If you are obsessed with cleanliness, you can choose this hotel comfortably. There is no reception so you can take your hotel key automatically, so I didn't wait for check-in. You can put your baggage directly and start enjoying the city. This hotel will be my choice when I go to Prague again.
The hotel is right in the heart of Prague, my room has a great view of the church , upper floor would give you the best view. It’s quiet place despite being in old town square. The staff I encountered were courteous, very helpful and proactive to guest’s needs. I have to leave early morning and front desk was kind enough to pack some food for me, i highly appreciated it.
