Refurbished rooms are really nice and great value. The temporarily relocated 'Executive Lounge" was great but we didn't realise it would be so busy that you had to book! Renovations still happening so it's a work in progress.
Mena in the Executive Lounge was fantastic and extremely professional, the hotel is lucky to have her.
Breakfast was pretty much the best breakfast we've had in a hotel in Perth, and was very tasty and everything was HOT which is so unusual lol!! Omeletes were fantastic. Staff/Management equally as good.
All staff were quite simply brilliant and couldn't have done enough. Highly recommend and we will definitely return. Had a great one night stay and the hotel and staff were a real highlight of our night in the city :-).

Sun-drenched and laidback, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.
The city centre has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.
Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.
The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialities such as western rock lobster and chilli mussels. There is also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from the Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.

The city is super clean with very modern buildings surrounding beautifully restored old buildings. The free bus service in the CBD is great and the trains out to the suburbs are efficient and affordable. We ate at The Brass Monkey- the Sunday roast was excellent, and across the street at Shanghai Street(?), which had excellent dumplings.
Lots of people are walking, biking, scootering, so a great place to get exercise.

It's a nice calm city.
It's a nice calm city. Great for those who love walking around! End of May was perfect time, still warm and sunny.
I visited the King's Garden that has a great city view and wild parrots. I also went on a tour to Rottnest island. It was worth it!
The tour to the Perth Mint was awesome. Just make sure you arrive before 2:30 pm, to have enough time for all the activities. Guides there are passionate about their work and put their hears into it.
