We loved the Gold Coast great weather the shopping is the best here Pacific Fair is a must Visit so many shops to look at.We went to Movie World absolutely loved it great day out.We went to Wet ‘n’ Wild loved it so much fun and we also went to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary got to hold a Koala great experience kids loved it to so much to see. The main mall in surfers is fantastic the shops are open late and so much to see and do and great restaurants.Broad Beach is also worth looking at beautiful views and beautiful restaurants.I would highly recommended the Gold Coast for a holiday I will definitely come back. 10/10

We are an older couple and the Coolangatta end of the Gold Coast is better for us. It is less busy. The beaches are great. It is lovely to walk up to the headland. You can view whales from there. For young families, the beach is good and easy seimming. Eateries, movies, gelato shops are close. The Currumbin bird sanctuary is not far. The airport is close. The Oaks Calypso has a great pool with a water slide and spa. Traffic to the north is bad. Take public transport.MargaretAustralia - Scored 1010

We had a whirlwind trip up for a medical appointment for my son. We flew into Brisbane and the plane was late so it was 2:30 pm before we left the airport in a hire car to get to a 4:00 pm appointment in Benowa. We struck some heavy traffic on the way down but still managed to get there by 3:45 pm without speeding! The roads are all in good condition and it's easy to navigate. After the appointment we drove south to Coolangatta to stay the night and catch a 12:20 pm plane to Sydney the next day. It all went incredibly smoothly.

Restaurant food reasonably expensive BUT where isn't?!? Plenty to do for families/couples/young/old in my opinion. Fab theme parks plus there is the beaches, shops, Tambourine mountain and other surroundings. Currumbin is a fantastic sanctuary and worth visiting along with everything else GC has to offer.

This isn’t the first stay for us, down the Gold Coast. But a first at this resort. Overall, it was nice, but I don’t think we’ll book again here. Staff were lovely, room was nice, but the menus for both food & beverages, very much over priced. If anything, it was the pool that was a plus for the kids & yes, staff - absolutely super accommodating
