Great apartment and location, right in the heat of the action in the beautiful old city in Split - only a 100 metres from the sea too, and multiple restaurants close by to choose from! Also near old city gates to explore the old palace. The bed was super comfortable, a huge plus for me, and the ensuite was lovely. The apartment was tastefully appointed with nice little touches, the bathroom had his and her sinks too for a bit of additional luxury. The owner also went over and beyond for us, coming to meet us and helping to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs due to a health issue I had developed whilst in Croatia. Nothing was too much trouble for him and we appreciated his assistance greatly. We would definitely stay again. Even though in middle of the action, the windows were double glazed and the room was quiet - a massive tick for me!

The hospitality of the hotel staff was something truly exceptional, rarely encountered. Even before the trip, I had received good tips from Mario and Luka, and at the hotel, there were even more. It was a great feeling to arrive early in the morning in Split and wait for the room to become available on the wonderfully cozy and peaceful restaurant terrace. Breakfast was served on the same terrace, and it was an excellent and exceptionally wonderful experience. We also appreciated that we could get beach towels from the hotel. Such service is hard to find. Mario's historical tour was also interesting. So many memorable things. And we must not forget Makarun's own driver on the way to the airport. A funny and warm-hearted guy (whose name I unfortunately can't remember) who left a warm final impression of Split in both our minds. The only downside of the hotel was the right side view from the balcony, but this was known in advance. However, the left side offered a beautiful view of the bell tower of Saint Domnius, which was delightful.

Don’t be fooled by the outside this property is in the best location for the price you’re paying. 10/15 minute walk into the old town ( a straight walk down literally ) and another 10 minute to the local beach Bacvice. Although I would recommend taking an Uber which takes 20 mins from this location to kasjuni beach or even better to gooshter beach. There’s only 3 rooms in total so not noisy or crowded. Drazen is a lovely host who checks in via WhatsApp to check if you need anything which is nice and even can pick you up from the airport for a small fee. You have the option to do a self check in which we did and it was very straight forward and easy. Room is very modern which has AC and a big bed and a lot of closet space. Bathroom is good and modern too with a waterfall shower head and a regular shower head. There’s a balcony which is small with 2 seats outside and the view isn’t amazing just tress but still nice. Room was clean and fresh towels were on the bed on arrival. 10/10 recommend if your coming to split and need a good and affordable room.

This location was on a quiet street within easy walking distance to beach and busy harbour. We disembarked from a small cruise ship and stayed one night at rooms Marija - would love to have stayed longer. They were great about letting us store luggage until check in time.
